Doreen's New Way of Life (comments are welcome)

Hi Doe! :wave2:

I sure hope you're enjoying your day off--you certainly deserve it! I cleaned this morning too, and the minute I got done mopping my kitchen floor, our three dogs came in from outside and brought along some Jeanne-inspired wet Chihuahua footprints!

Here's hoping that you're starting your week off with sunshine and smiles! :sunny: :)

Hi Doe! Just popping in to say Hi! :wave2: I hope all is going well for you. Glad to see you have a chance to breathe today. I know when I get an extra day off (even to just do chores  ), the rest of the week goes much smoother. So do those extra few things so tomorrow morning is a little smoother! You'll love the feeling and swear you'll do it every day! Of course, it lasts like 2 days for me and then I am back to my same old bad habits.....
I hope your healthy living style is going well. You have always given me some good thoughts. And I have thought of you often over the summer, even if I haven't posted!:o

Have a beautiful day!:sunny:

Hi Doe! I hope you gets lots done today. Remember to drink lots of water and do something good for yourself today!

Hi Doe,

I hope your day went well. How's your work week looking? I hope it is smooth :boat: Take care of yourself,
Beth

Hope your cleanups went ok. They are never fun but you'll feel better when they are done. Do something nice for yourself after your chores are done. Take care.

Hi, WISH-sis! How did your day of cleaning go? You were sounding quite Fly Lady with your 10 minutes in each room. Good for you! I bet the progress you made--no matter how big or small--made you feel good and in control of the situation.

Are you back at work today? Know that whatever is waiting for you on your desk is within your ability to handle. Baby steps and help from above will help you to get it all done in due time.

 ,
Erin

Good morning Doe,

I hope that cleaning went well for you yesterday and I hope you had a chance to relax and enjoy your day off. Take good care of you!

:wave2: Hi Doe,
I hope you were able to squeeze a little "you" time into your day off yesterday :D .

Wishing you a wonderful Tuesday :sunny: !

Monday's day off was wonderful! I did manage to get some of the house looking better - a relief.

Yesterday was stressful! This big project for work is driving me crazy. I had a meeting yesterday afternoon where I basically had to tell them that I'm still struggling. My choices were anything but healthy.

Today I've taken my meds and am drinking my water. Breakfast was a banana and a pack of peanut M&Ms. :p I'm feeling the effects of not treating myself in a healthy way - I'm bloated, I'm gaining belly fat, I've got a raging headache, and I just feel sluggish. I'm in my "big" clothes again. I KNOW I should be trying to avoid diabetes, etc. etc. by eating right and exercising, but when push comes to shove, I just don't care on a decision by decision basis. I do whatever will get me through the next 5 minutes. I know this has to do with the stress at work and the crazy schedule at home. I also know that exercise would help relieve some of the stress but I can't get motivated to move.

I'm not going to beat myself up over this. I'm not sure when I'll be back on the healthy living road. I do know that I'm at least THINKING about doing the healthy stuff. I haven't given up the idea of eating healthy and being fit, but I have lowered its priority in my life for the moment.

Onward into Wednesday! :sunny:

Hi Doe,

I think that healthy living is lkie everything else in our lives. It cycles. Sometimes it is our major focus, sometimes not. I know you will get back to it. Until then do the best you can do with what energy and time you have. That is all anyone can ask.

I am sending major :wizard:  your way while you finish up this project. Baby steps will get you through.

Beth

WISH-sis, I'm on my way out the door, so all I can do right now is let you know that I'm thinking of you and I'm sending you lots of     .
Remember, Doreen: all you can do is what you can do. It'll be enough.

Lots of love,
Erin

Thanks for the good vibes, Beth & Erin!

After a grueling hour and a half meeting yesterday afternoon, I have been told to schedule DAILY meetings with the same 3 people so we can make quick progress on this project.

I am relieved to have so much intense and hands-on help. On the other hand, I am so stressed out about working on this so intensely with these people! :( I know this will resolve the road blocks as quickly as possible so in the end, my stress will be more short-lived, but I think it will be pretty intense over the coming days.

Thanks for your reminder, Erin, that all I can do is my best and it will be good enough. I'm clinging to that thought. I'm also feeling very anxious and out of control - not a good feeling! - so I'm going to take some time to pray and hand this over to God, who has a plan and a purpose. Steel is forged and strengthened only through fire - I'm feeling like I'm in the hot seat at the moment but am trusting in Him that I'll come through stronger in the end. If anyone has any Bible verses to send my way, feel free! :D

No bible verse to offer (I'm sure somewhere there is a priest smacking himself on the head at the moment) but remember God only gives you what he knows you can handle. He knows that you will be able to accomplish this task. Just ask for his help when you need it and everything will work smoothly.

Do your best today and know that you will get through it unscathe.

~Amanda

Hey Doe,

I'm back. I am sure that you are probably a bit stressed. You are doing a great job, and the higher-ups know you are the best person for the job. If it gets to be too much, think about your counter. 10 days and you will be sipping a wonderful wine and watching Illuminations. Imagine yourself in World Showcase.

Have I mentioned that I am jealous.;) :p
Beth

Hey there,

Keep your chin up, you are doing a great job.:D I know the spot you are in with not being OP because I have been going back and forth on that too. It must be something in the air. Hopefully things will settle down for us all in October. You will do great on your project.:D

Today's meeting went a little better than yesterday's. :p I have tomorrow morning to make some progress on my own and then we'll meet again at 1:30 in the afternoon.

Healthy eating??? I vaguely remember that I used to do that. I do think I'll be back on plan this weekend. I'm actually getting sick of the carby stuff I've been eating!

I am still taking my meds daily without fail and I am drinking, drinking, drinking tons of water. These two habits are just that - habits. I do them without thinking, even when I'm stressed. At least I've made SOME progress over the past year. :teeth:

Thanks for all the support, WISH-buddies!! It means more than you could know! :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: I promise I'll get to journals over the weekend!

Doe,
Don't worry about journals right now. You need to rest (and pack) this weekend. We know you are thinking about us. You HAVE made progress in healthy living.::yes::
Get some sleep tonight,
Beth

Good morning, WISH-sis, and  and strength for your new day. You asked for some verses, so here are two for your day ahead.

One that made me think of you being that woman forged of steel:

"We also rejoice in our sufferings ( ), because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us (Romans 5:3-5).:D "

And the other to lift you up:

"But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint (Isaiah 40:31)."

Whether it's at the half marathon or in the office, WISH-sis, you're going to walk and not be faint. He will carry you through whatever you're going through. Hang in there. You can do this.

Erin

Hi Doe!

Oh Erin, those are such genuinely inspirational verses!

I wish I were as articulate as so many others when it comes to offering support and comfort, Doreen. Everything I'm thinking of writing to you just sounds so cliched and trite. Rejoice in the fact that you are a Child of God (this thought can make me smile even when I'm in the midst of the most terrible of times--it gives me chills to know how truly awesome it is!) and that He will *always* be walking by your side--He'll also be there to carry you on an as-needed basis! There's nothing you can't handle, Doe! :D

Don't you worry about journals right now--we know you're behind every single one of us, cheering us on! Your thoughts and good wishes mean so much! :grouphug:

Have a lovely, stress-less Thursday, Doreen! :sunny:

Today has gone pretty well! I reviewed my project progress with my immediate boss and he & I are in agreement. Now I have some prep work for tomorrow morning's meeting with more bosses up the line. Hopefully they will be happy with the progress also.

I'm still letting life and stress control my choices, instead of taking control myself. As soon as the stress lets up or as soon as I can no longer fit into my clothes :D, I'll be addressing this more clearly.

Gotta run before I'm late for my carpool home! :p
