Dophin swim or sea lion encounter at Blue Lagoon in Nassau?

Trying to decide between the two excursions. Has anyone done either of these, or both? Does the sea lion encounter involve any "swimming" with the sea lions, or is more just interaction? Thanks.

I can't really speak on the behalf of the sea lion excursion, but I did the Dolphin Swim on Cozumel and it was awesome! I did the excursion that included the sea turtle farm too! Totally worth it! I just find dolphins more appealing. But either way you'll have a blast, and you can always have the other option for the next trip down the road!

We did the sea lion encounter at Blue Lagoon a few years ago. It is an encounter. You change into a wet suit but you stand about waist deep on a metal platform. You go for a brief information and safety session first. My husband and I were lucky enough to be the only 2 in that particular encounter, it was great. The best part was the hug!

We have done both there. The dolphin swim was much better than the sea lion encounter. We enjoyed both but it was just an encounter with the sea lion. The dolphin swim was very exciting with the dolphin foot push.

We did the sea lion encounter and loved it. As a pp said, you do get in the water with the sea lion. While the dolphin swim would obviously have more interaction with the animal because the sea lion is just an encounter, I would recommend doing the sea lion at Blue Lagoon. You can do a dolphin encounter, swim, etc. at just about any port in the Caribbean, Bahamas and Mexico these days but only a few places we have found have a sea lion encounter.
