I had planned to stay at it until I got pneumonia. Went to gym today for first time since March just to do my PT for my arthritis which is killing me as well. It will be a slog back in shape for sure but got 7 months till wine and dine/Avengers and 9 till Dopey. It's all good.

Holy cow, pneumonia! I wish you continued healing and hope you are able to, slowly but surely, get back to health and enjoyable miles again. I have arthritis, too ("severe degenerative" in my hips), so I know the painful challenges posed. Please take care. And thanks for letting me know that I am not alone in my quest for getting back into shape

Nah, far from it, I ran 10k today but that's the start of the training. Need to get a formal plan in place though.

Incidentally, I've received two lots of registration information for each element that I've signed up for, anyone else got this? Luckily I've only got one payment receipt for the correct amount.

Not sure I understand your question, but I signed up for Dopey only, purchasing no additional merchandise/offers -- I received one "Payment Receipt" email and one "Registration Confirmation" email.

In the past, when I have ordered pins, I received a "Registration Confirmation" email for each pin purchased.

I've now received a second payment receipt, meaning I have two copies of everything I applied for. The two payment receipts have different numbers too, now worried that I have paid twice and have two entries for everything. I've contacted RunDisney

Where is everyone staying? We are at BLT. Got my sister running the 1/2 and we are all staying together.

Anyone stay on the monorail line before for race week? How efficient is it to get to start vs. the Run Disney buses?

I'm at BWV. Tried to rent points at VGF and BLT and wasn't successful.

I stayed at the Grand Floridian for marathon weekend in 2013 and was doing Goofy+5K. Having the monorail was VERY nice for the half and full marathons. For the 5K it was bus only, which was fine. I'm not sure if that's still the case for the 5K, also not sure if the monorail will be running for the 10K. It'll be nice for you too because the people you're staying with can watch you run by the Contemporary during the marathon...or they could easily walk to the Magic Kingdom and catch you there.

I've stayed at Riverside, Beach Club and Wilderness Lodge for race weekends and the bus transportation has been fine, so I'm hoping it'll be the same this time.

We are currently booked at AKL-Kidani since it's our home resort. My top choice is VWL but I am not holding my breath I'll be able to snag it at the 7 month mark.

My husband ran Dopey this year and we stayed at the Contemporary. There was a monorail to all 4 of the races - it was very nice!!
