Doorway to Dreams to have BLT models

Stopped by the Woodfield Mall Doorway to Dreams yesterday for the first time. I was impressed. The CMs were very nice and it was wonderful getting that "Welcome Home." I saw the AKL DVC models and the CMs told me that yesterday was the last day for them. They were tearing them down and putting in the models for BLT. Just an FYI.

This is great to hear! I visit Woodfield once a year in December and I love to visit the store! Last year they gave me tons of goodies and my ornament. I can't wait to see BLT!

That's too bad, wonder how long that will take and how much it will effect their business.

I just got an email from our guide who helped us at DTD. He said they will complete in early November.

Our carpentry company worked on the AKL Doorway project. We installed all the wood trim, the kitchens and all the doors. Both in the models and the offices. It was cool working there with that big savana mural. Like we were working in Orlando.
The CM's involved during the building said that the Doorway to Dreams was an experiment, and if sales were good they would be building more around the country (I don't know of any others yet). I guess the AKL sales were good and now there focusing on the BLV. I hope we get the contract to build the new models. The mural will of course be the MK, too cool!

I just stopped in at Doorway to Dreams today for the first time. I needed a Disney fix and have really been wanting to see it.

The AKV studio model is still open. They are building the BLT 1 bdrm now and it will be open by Black Friday. I think they will convert the studio to BLT after the 1bdrm is finished.

Diane (our guide) from DTD left us a message at home to let us know about the new BLT models that are currently under construction. she said to stop by on black friday b/c they will be done. can't wait to see.
she also asked how we were doing and if we had any questions regarding our new membership. we bought there in September. we thought it was great that she took time to call and tell us about the conversion and to ask how we were.
