Dooney & bourke disney collaboration

These are so cute! Do you all know if they will still have these in WDW in January? Where would be the best place to find them? Would I need to go to Downtown Disney or would they be anywhere in the parks or hotel shops? Also, someone mentioned on this thread calling for one - is it possible to order one over the phone?

For those of you with upcoming trips that will be looking for a Dooney, have you seen this? It was posted at the top of the page that lists all the forums.

I'm so used to a smaller purse, and I'm having a really hard time figuring out how to organize everything in this beast! I'm one of those people that really wants to be able to find everything in three seconds or less.

I'd love to see what the insides of your totes look like! I'll post a pic of mine when I get a chance, but it's definitely a work in progress. I'm starting to think I might need two wallets!

I don't have one of these purses, but I do carry some _big_ bags. The way I stay organized is by using smaller pouches/bags to hold some of the loose tiny things that otherwise get lost. Something like the Dooney wristlet (with strap removed) would work well for that, or any little cosmetics type bag. So even though I have a monstrous-sized purse, inside it I just have sunglasses, wallet, keys, and 2-3 pouches with other stuff. That way it's actually pretty easy to find what I need without digging around for it.

You could also use something called a "purseket" which is basically a purse organizer. I don't use one of these personally, but a lot of people swear by them.

Or my aunt lives in Tampa, I can have her buy it for me, it's only an hour drive from her house to Disney.

You just have to get your own system down. One thing I like about using the smaller bags inside the big one is that it makes it really easy to change bags. It just takes a minute to pop everything out of one bag and into another.

Okay, I just gave in and bought a wristlet on eBay! I love the totes, especially since you get to see most of the design because they're bigger, but it's really not something I could use for work. For me the wristlet is more practical - and it looks perfect to bring for the parks to hold keys/tickets, or maybe even a small camera (can't quite tell from the pictures if it will be big enough for that).

I was going to try calling the merchandising number, but I found one with a pattern I liked for a good price on eBay. Since it was a Buy It Now, I get Bing Cashback, bringing the price to about the same as it would be through Disney with shipping and tax.

I have one of those, and hardly use it. The compartments are a little hard to get into, so I ended up throwing everything in the bottom of the purse anyway.
I prefer a clear cosmetic bag, phone case hooked to the purse straps, wallet and large clear pouch for everything else.

Thanks for the input. I think I might show it to my aunt and see if she can come up with something similar with better pockets. Or maybe I just need another cosmetic bag.


Changing the subject, has anyone tried scotchguarding these bags to try to prevent the yellowing? I love this bag, but I'm so sad that it will probably have a shorter life than I want it to.

Just back from my trip and I was able to get a bag!! I was so worried I would not be able to get one but the stores are very well stocked with bags of all sizes. The cast members at the shops are very helpful & even brought out bags from the back so I could see more of the different design placements. I'll try to post pics in the next couple days. Oh yeah I almost forgot, I overheard a CM mention there will be different bags coming out, not only with different colors but different designs...??? Can't wait to see those!!

Ahhh same here! I am not using my bag until Christmas since it's a Christmas gift so I am secretly hoping the new print/colors come out before then so I can exchange it lol.

I have read that the problem is cheap dye used by Dooney that bleeds. Don't know if that's true, but if so the Scotchguard won't help.

I have not heard about the cheap dye thing........I am going to try a weatherproofing spray (not Scotchguard) on mine just so I can say I tried something. I was looking at my blue Dooney yesterday and it has some slight discoloring going on but not bad at all. I have had it for about four years. It is made of the same material as the Disney Dooneys. My grape colored one is just fine so far.

World of Disney only had the wristlets this morning...But I'm on a mission for the large tote...So after my continuing ed class, I'm off to find one! They are adorable...Dooney and Bourke and Disney 2 of my favorite things!
