Yes, I was going purse shoppingIt was just my husband and I and that would have been nice without 4 boys breathing down my neck that they want to get out of that part of the store or asking are you really going to pay that much for just a purse anyway, we will be able to go back but I also wanted to see what placement they had on the satchels that came in after we were there Wed. They go so fast, they could be gone by the end of the weekWe are going to Epcot today, so will be keeping my eyes openAlthough at the parks my husband doesn't want to take time to shop while we could be on rides

Oh my, oh my..... I have news for you all. Today I was in a bid war. LOL! It was over a 40th Annversary Wristlet! I just fell in love with! I guess after all the 40th Anniversary editions I was watching I finally decided on a wristlet. Then I looked on DS.com and they didn't have anymore so I had to get it on eBay. This one was calling to me. I really didn't want to pay so much for it but I had to have it! My co-worker saw me bidding on it and said if I win it he'd give me $20 towards it, awwwww! He's so nice! Well as soon as it arrives I'll post pictures! Thanks for listening.

Thanks, and why yes it is! I had been watching it for a while ever since someone placed the first bid. Then I waited till the last day to bid. I wanted to see what the price was going to be. Then I thought I'd wait for a different one but I was watching others and the placement on them just didn't call to me the way Walt and Pluto did! I hope it comes fast too because I'm still waiting for my Aulani Dooney.

I don't know if it has been mentioned on here yet, but over on the FB page there is a discussion going on about how the red leather is losing color at the corners. I don't have the red one, so I haven't experienced that first hand, but there are several others that have.

Not a Dooney, but on the Disney Store website I have had my eye on the Hearts and Mickey Mouse Shoulder Bag. I had ordered it back in December, but didn't get it. It's a long story, but the bottom line is that my order got cancelled. Ever since, it has either been on the website and marked "sold out", or simply has not been on the website at all. I have been checking on almost a daily basis. Well, yesterday I checked and it was there so I quickly ordered it. I see it's not there again today and when I look up my order status, it tells me there is no order. So who knows if I will get it this time. I'm hoping I like it as much in person as I do on the website. I'm also hoping it will work as my day bag at the park in March. I currently use a Vera Bradley at the parks. I have a few Dooneys and would have loved to order the cross body one for the parks, but I don't think I would have gotten much use out of it accept for at the parks, and if I'm going to spend that kind of money, I want to be able to use it on a regular basis.

I ordered mine on 12/23, got it the next week. Have only been using it for 2 weeks and one corner is already losing the red.

Near as I can tell from this thread, I'm likely to have the most luck at WOD and MouseGears? It sounds like the GF has a decent selection, but we aren't headed there for any reason and I'm not sure that I'll make a special trip for a purse. Are there any other places I should pop into at DTD or in the parks?

The stores I have seen with a big selection are Uptown Jewelers at MK, World of Disney and Tren-D at downtown disney. Uptown Jewelers has most of the disney dooneys on display and you can see what placement you want without having to ask a CM for assistance. Sunset Couture has some out on display and they also keep more stock if available in the stock room.

If you buy a purse and find another you like better at another store you can exchage it.

I'm one of the ones on the FB page that has this problem. I bought my satchel Thanksgiving weekend at Disneyland. LOVE IT! I have only used it for one month --- the month of December. All four corners the red has rubbed off. It just makes me sick to have paid so much and look at the purse after such a short amount of time. If I had been wearing it for a year and saw this kind of wear, it would be expected. But not after one month. I have not contacted Dooney yet. I am actually in WDW right now. My daughter is working some seasonal hours so we are here until this Saturday. Anyway, I went into Uptown Jewelers today and they had 4-5 of the red comic satchels. A couple of them looked fine. One already had one corner rubbing off. One was REALLY BAD. At least two corners had already rubbed off and there were cracks running along one of the handles. It was very noticeable. I didn't take a picture, but I can't imagine anyone buying that purse. Once I get home this weekend I plan on calling Dooney and see what they say. I sure hope they stand behind their purse!

For those of you looking for particular styles, I have seen many of the sketch crossbody and wristlet, the 40th anniversary kristen, the pink barrel, the sketch tote medium and large, a few of the pink erica's, and today I saw a few of the 40th anniversary crossbody at Contemporary and Uptown jewelers.
