Dooney & Bourke Disney collaboration ~ part 4

Well, my "stronger than me" DD was able to get it to release and I have moved each one to lengthen the strap. I love my new bag and am already eyeing my next purchase...

I am so glad you were able to get the strap holes moved Once I got the first hole moved, the other three didn't seem quite so bad I absolutely love the style of these bags

Still no response at all on my missing returned bags. I sent them a copy of the shipping receipt yesterday showing the box was 4 pounds 12 ounces, and that a mini barrel alone would not weigh that much, and I have gotten no answer at all.

Yes, that is the same number I came up with for the two bags! Now to see how long it takes to show up.

And my other screwed up order has shipped, in two parts, but of course the tracking update at UPS hasn't been updated in over 24 hours . And the total dollar amount is correct in my order history. So once both pieces arrive, I may have officially forgiven them, maybe! Once I get to DL though, look out stores, here I come!!!

Glad it's all worked out but still sorry you had to go thru that to begin with. I hate it when there is an issue and I have to WAIT for resolution. I can't sleep until everything is the way it is supposed to be!

I posted this on my thread on the Cruise Line board already, but thought I would share it here too:

Somebody on the ship has posted a bunch of the new DCL Dooneys on Ebay already! It looks like they posted from their stateroom...!

Just go to ebay and search for Disney Dooney Fantasy and they should pop up.

They photos aren't the best so I still can't really tell how the colors look. I can see there is some gold (silver?) accenting to the trim, etc. But hard to make out the pattern colors in the yellow lighting. (I figure those photos were taken on a DCL white bedspread, but due to the lighting the bedspread looks yellow ... so the actual coloring is not clear).

First, I want the matching wristlet. My first choice for my next full size bag is the black Mickey balloon, but I am not crazy about the styles. I like the Colette, but it only comes in white. I also like the Sketch, one of the totes probably.

I noticed that the new print doesn't have a hang tag...also if it's Retro Disney then why are Mickey's Fun Wheel (or the Wheel of Death, as I prefer to call it ) and World Of Color represented?

at the Wheel of Death. I'll ride any ride, at any theme park, any time. I sometimes even do the insane pay an extra fee and sign a special waiver in case you die ride experiences. So you'd think a ferris wheel would be no big deal, but I hated that stupid thing the first time I rode it! I'm used to it now because DD loves it, but I'll never forget that first time - awful!

As far as current stuff on a retro design, I asked a similar question when the "Walt Disney Classics" collection started coming out with sculptures for newly released movies. Their response was something along the lines of Disney movies are immediate classics. OK, whatever.


Erika, so glad you were able to get that cleared up, and thanks for reminding me to follow up on my DS.com saga. Apparently my case was referred to a different department and I guess I need to follow up with them now. Who knew requesting an exchange would be such a complicated matter for them?


I can't imagine spending valuable cruise time posting e-bay auctions, but I saw quite a few people sitting at the internet cafe doing just that on our DCL Panama Canal cruise (pre in room wireless).

The thing I don't like about the new cruise design is how large all the icons are. It could be a real challenge to get a nice layout without things being cut off in odd places, even on the larger bags. JMO

I am kinda bummed about the Fantasy print. I will be crusing the Fantasy later this year and was hoping for a drop dead design. I guess there is still time for another one before I cruise, but not likely.

Guess I will have to find other things to spend my money on ! I am sure that won't be hard to do.

My new bag arrived yesterday, but the box was heavily damaged and the credit card holder wasn't in it. Luckily the bag wasn't damaged at all. I'm sure Disney Shopping put it in the box and it slipped out when the box got wrecked (it looked like it got caught in something and then a truck ran over it!).

I emailed Disney Shopping this morning to see what I should do and within 5 minutes had a return email and they are sending out a replacement card holder. Great customer service!

Received my order today from the last 25% off sale. I got the black balloon satchel for me and the black balloon mini barrel for my dd. We are both in love! This is my first Disney dooney bag ( I do have a sketch wristlet though). If anyone remembers I had a fiasco when I ordered the comic strip satchel on the presidents day sale and it was out of stock for an exchange. I am happy to say I like this print as much (maybe even better) than that one! And my daughter is over the moon with hers as well.

I'm glad they were able to correct your situation so quickly! It makes me more frustrated than ever that I'm still trying to get them to process my exchange when their own records show they received my package 4+ weeks ago!

When she opened it up and realized there was one for her she went nuts. It was awesome! My dh is still in shock over the price tag on a purse for a 9 year old (me too really ) but I'm obsessed with these darn bags now.
