Dooney & Bourke Disney collaboration ~ part 4

Does anyone know why they are no longer selling the "It's A Small World" bag online? We were down in Jan and I should have gotten it then! I'm about to give up on it AND the HM bag! Thanks!

My guess is Dooney and Disney truly wanted to make both bags "limited edition" and true collectible items so only so many were manufactured. I ordered it's a small world as soon as they popped online and so far haven't carried it....have to admit I am somewhat tempted to sell it online after seeing the prices they are fetching. Keep checking disneystore.com to see what is added. I find that Monday mornings tend to be the day new Dooney's pop up unannounced. I have read there is suppose to be a new HM out sometime this year.

Saw that the May events from Disney Shopping have been released, but no May date yet for 5 years of Disney Dooney collaboration. Keeping my fingers crossed that they release that super cute Mickey & Minnie pastel print with ice cream and popcorn. Remember, the one that was on Disney Parks Blog in January? Soooo cute! Can't wait to see that print on a bag!

Does anyone have a picture of the DVC bag? I went the first of April to WDW and asked around and none of the staff knew anything about the bag or the pattern? I would love to see it!!

Alright Dooney experts- I need some advice. I was going to buy the Disney world retro barrel today for my next trip on May 30th. Should I wait for a discount or pull the trigger? I have the Disney Visa so there's always that discount. I know last month they did 30% off but of course not on this bag. Any predictions would be appreciated!

I too would love to add that bag to my collection ! I am hoping they release it while I am there for the vera Bradley event May 4th so I can double dip so to speak.

To me the DVC bag looks like the balloon tassel tote that was out a couple of years ago. The other day they were all sold out through the DVC member link but I am going to check again for restock.

I think they only do certain styles on sale . If your luck is like mine the minute you buy a bag it will go on sale for a bigger discount !

If you log into your dvcmember account, click on the top menu called "Member Magic" and choose "special offers". The links there will take you to the disney store site showing the bag, but sold out. Note that this does not seem to work on a mobile device -- my iPhone goes to a disneystore "item not found" message.

I'm beginning to lose hope. The offer said it ends May 3, so I think they just ran out a little earlier than they expected.

Thought I would share my story of selling my D&B Susanna Black balloon tote on Ebay. Bought this beauty in 2010 and gulp....it sat in the back of my closet until I finally decided closet cleaning needed to be done before the show Hoarders came out to my house !(not really that bad but just needed to straighten up!) I decided to list this on ebay with a selling price of $350.00....one week passed and 10 watchers but no bidders...relisted at same price and again 10 watchers and NO BUYERS!

Got a message through my ebay account from someone asking if I would be interested in selling this brand new never used, plastic still on the handles bag for 270.00 plus free shipping since that was what is was sold in the store. I took a really deep breath and typed this reply " yes, the list price was 270.00 plus tax taking my cost to 292.00 (shipping was free for me as I still have the receipt). The bag was listed at 350.00 since ebay will take 37.00 in fees and paypal another 10.00 so I will only net approximately 13.00 in profit if all goes well. Sorry I just can't sell it at 270.00 plus free shipping".

What I wanted this person to know and post here too that for those selling on ebay, there are some pretty good fees to be paid by sellers not only for selling the item but then paypal gets their share too. So when you see the D&B it's a small world, Haunted Mansion or any other Disney design that tends to sell out fast...please try and remember that the person more than likely paid full retail plus tax and isn't going to make hundreds of dollars off a bag (although I did see on ebay that Haunted Mansion was selling for like 900.00 and probably cost 300.00 to buy!) now why didn't I buy a Haunted Mansion bag?)

If I had sold the bag to the ebay member for 270.00 after fees and paypal I would have "lost" about 70.00 so I will just keep the bag and maybe try and resell around Christmas. I understand not wanting to pay that much for a bag knowing what it cost but some folks may not realize the "rest of the story" as Paul Harvey always said. It's a choice .

DisneyWorld tassel bag vs DisneyWorld letter carrier...

Is the tassel bag really as big as it seems by the measurements? I'm not a stranger to large bags (just bought a D&B sm Lexington shopper), but I'm just curious.

I'm also wondering if the placement on the letter carrier is a total crapshoot. I guess I'd probably be willing to pay more to know that the bigger bag is bound to have everything on it!

Just returned from WDW. Bought this print today @ MouseGears!! I think the style is the cross body satchel. It has the handles & the long strap. They also had letter carriers & the CM said they had the large tote, but I didn't want anything that big, so I didn't look at that. Also saw them at Disney Studios on Thursday night & first thing Fri morning. But they only had 3 bags that I saw there. They were gone in about 2 hours. I had checked at World of Disney, TrendD & MK but didn't see it at any of those.
