so is Character Outlet that was 15591 State Rd 535 no longer open????

There is a Character Outlet in the Vineland Premium outlet. As a PP has said though, the DDs can be found at the Dooney outlet, not Disney's outlet.

He also got me the Disneyland 55th Ann. messenger bag for my B-day,
@DL Emporium. (found out 55th ann. is being discontiued this month).
While visiting DLR in Aug. I bought the yellow wristlet.
I love these bags!!!

To me, the wristlet smells like Main Street. So I'm sniffing often.

I looked at the DL Messenger bag when I was there 2.5 weeks ago for the half marathon. Decided to hold out for the WDW 40th instead, as I really like that pattern better. Hope it's still there next month when we go there for F&W Festival! It seems to me that they would keep it around a while since the 40th anniversary doesn't officially begin until Oct. 1, 2011.

The WDW40 pattern was released in January, well ahead of the official anniversary date, but I'm sure they'll carry it through then. In fact it's my guess that the WDW40 pattern makes it through the end of the year, if not even longer.

I bet you'll be able to find a great messenger bag when you're there in October. You might even be able to check out the new pattern that is supposed to be coming.

There is one on ebay at present. The resort is sold out and may not get them till December due to the high demand. The phone order line is only taking backorders for resort guests at present. Ebay is probably the only route for the present. I am sure with patience that will all change.

I live in Orlando an have seen the tonal Mickey, black Mickey, princess and sketch patterns at the Dooney outlet on Vineland. Some were purses (tonal and black Mickey) some where wristlets. What they have changes pretty regularly. There is no way to know what they will have, but you can always give them a call to see what they currently have in stock.

I don't have the barrel bag, but here is a comparison of the two wristlet sizes. The black one is very slender and I think it would work fine.

I went to both outlet stores today in Orlando.

The vinelands store is the only one that had any Disney bags...

They had one barrel bag and one white princess bag. and one tonal wristlet.

Not a huge selection I was disappointed

That said, some stores carry limited styles. For example last time I checked DL Hotel Gift Shop only had the colored sketch collection, Jewel of Orleans only had the DL55 collection, etc.

In my experience it's definitely easiest to shop pattern placement at Vault 28 since they have a large display of bags and generally have the widest selection of bags in stock. Most of the other shops only have one or two of each style bag they carry on display (as MaryJ mentioned in her post above) and you may or may not be able to find a CM who is willing to bring more than one out from the back so you can compare placement.
