Dooney & Bourke Disney collaboration ~ part 3

Hi Everyone!

I'm here at the parks (arrived last Thursday) and thought I'd give an update on what I've seen so far around the world.

Day one I went straight to Magic Kingdom and went to the jewelry store. They had 40th anniversary, sketch white, mickey balloons and minnie bow patterns in every size and wristlets! They had all colors of the sketch wristlets and crossbody. I bought a 40th anniverary crossbody and a medium sketch bag (not sure what the right name is). Got really lucky with placement as both the ones I bought were the FIRST ones I looked at!

Hollywood studios I saw large sketch, colored crossbody and wristlets. Only 1 mickey balloon bag.

Epcot last night had sketches, all sizes and wristlets and a few 40th anniversary.

Contemporary had a few sketch's only, not good placement either. Nothing at the Poly or GF.

Went to the outlet 2 days ago and they had 2 mickey balloon and 2 princess med. size bags. That was it.

Going to downtown disney tonight...looking for a white sketch wristlet with good placing!

Oh, and I've had a ton of people ask me about my crossbody in the parks! A lot of the CMs are also saying they have been putting off buying one, but they all seem to love the 40th pattern.

Quick question, I have the large Sketch and I'm wondering is it too large to carry in the parks? I generally carry my trusty red backpack, but it seems sad for the Dis Dooney to languish in my closet. However, it is a BIG bag.
Thoughts?
Oh, and I do keep the wristlet in my backpack

One of these days we should plan a New England Disney Dooney meet. I will bring the cake!

So... I finally got my wristlets today. It only took 12 business days!
I got two hoping for a good placement of Tink to give to my friend as a birthday gift. Here are some pics.

Great wristlets! And I love the phone case! DS picked out the castle one for my iPhone. I love looking at it everyday!

I would totally be in on a NE DIS Dooney meet! I am just up in Montreal... I should have you make DS's Club Penguin Cake and pick it up

Did anyone see the Nightmare Harvey's bags? They were released Satirday at Vault 28. I looked on ebay and saw three of them. I really like the one w/ Jack & Sally in the heart. I wonder how much they retail for, $225 is more than I want to spend right now (or ever really ).

I wanted the castle one, but it was not in stock at the Disney store when I ordered. My daughter really wanted me to get the Mickey one though, so she's happy.

I'm in the White Mts in NH, so not too far from you. I took my daughter and young cousins to Sherbrooke last summer for a visit. They thought it was cool to cross the border and then to see all the French speaking business and culture.

The large sketch is bigger than I like for a park bag, but I have seen people carrying them around DLR, so I guess it's just a matter of what you're comfortable with.

D&B makes backpack style bags that I think would be perfect to carry in the parks. I keep hoping they'll release one in one of the Disney patterns, but no luck so far.

Darn, I was planning on checking out the Harvey's event, but I forgot all about it. Duh!

I ordered a few extra purple wristlets that I don't need and I see they are now sold out at Disneystore.com. They don't have Mickey on them (which was what I wanted) but there are Tinks and castles. I think I'll post on the FB page too.

My wristlet and cosmetic bag came today! I love them and think the wristlet will be really good for use at school. My little sister was mad at me, though, because I didn't tell her when I ordered them. She wanted one, too. She insists that one is NOT enough, and she needs another. I love that she now shares in my (our) addiction

Oh, and I also love HockeyMomNH's cakes! Too bad I don't live in New England, though. Do you think you could overnight some to me?

I got my sketch wristlet! To be honest, I am not impressed. I wish the snap closure had a magnet to aid it. It seems like you have to press a little too hard to close it. The designs I don't find to be that thrilling on this particular one. Kind of a Mickey crotch shot going on . Anywho...not my fave purchase. I am oddly drawn to the pink D&B heart attached. Must be my pink sparkly issues. (Please pardon my after-dusk-and-inside shots. It's actually white.)



One question though: What's the story with the character "tape". I figure there is a reason for everything, so I've just got to ask...


What do you pros think? Am I overthinking this/being over critical?
