Dooney & Bourke Disney collaboration ~ part 3

I just got my first Disney Dooney and on the look out for my second, but I wondered how the bags do in the rain?

Living in "sunny" Florida with it's sudden storms.....


The other question I have is do you carry your Dooney in the parks?

I've used my sketch letter carrier and my 55th messenger in the parks and they still look great On the rain question...on my most recent trip DH and I went to Universal and I rode the Jurassic Park water ride for the 1st time. I had my messenger with me and it got drenched. It dried out nicely. Thank goodness!

I carry it on vacation but I don't bring it to the park. I like being able to just walk in. I just got a blue sketch messenger, I may bring that with me.

I do and I love it. I don't like big purses so I never have enough room but this one holds everything I need.

I love it too! I have many of the bags and this one is my favorite size/shape/strap length. It's also just a beautiful purse!

does anyone know if they are still selling the regular cruise wristlets on the ship, the one in the colors?

Just got them on the Dream last week - bought myself a yellow one and my mom a red one.

I just listed my spare balloons cosmetic on eBay -- so excited! I debated back and forth and finally decided... do I really need two? I use the one I have with my Susannah as a gift card/change purse holder. If I'd opened the second one, I might get confused and try to apply pennies to my lips or pay for tolls with my powder LOL

Soooo.. more money to get my Kristen and possibly wallet when I leave on the 20th! I haven't heard from any DISers lately whether they wallets have been spotted - any new updates? If some of my Vera listings do well, I think I might splurge and get a colored sketch crossbody/letter carrier too.

Being so close to the end is just so exciting!! I can hardly stand it. We'll arrive early enough so we can have dinner as a family and then the girls and my hubby can swim at the pool while I shop DTD in peace. Then the parks the rest of our trip.

That sounds like a great plan. I love to shop by myself for things like this. I have 4 boys and a husband and they all get headaches with my shopping after about 15 mins. You will be able to look for placement with no "Can we go yet?" Have a great time and enjoy yourself alot. Let us know what you get

Thanks to Stitch Kingdom I saw that Disney Dream Dooney's are on the Disney Store website. They aren't showing up under the Dooney section. I searched "cruise" and found them.

Had a feeling the cruise bags would show up online soon considering all the other cruise merchandise they've been adding. Love that satchel but I've never been on a cruise and placement on that print seems way too important to order online.

Yep, I think I'd have to go the order 5 or 6 and return the rejects route and I'd still keep my fingers crossed the whole time with the Dream pattern.

I wonder how some of the folks who were so ugly about getting their hands on D&B bags on the innaugural cruise are feeling now that anyone can order them? Karma baby.

Yeah it does seem weird the Dream bags are the ones online. I'd think the cruise sketch would have been offered online first.

When I was in WDW last month, I didn't even consider getting one because I wasn't looking to spend that much money. But since then I've looked at close ups of the 40th print and I am in love! There's no helping it. I've been looking on eBay, but I have some Disney Visa reward dollars that I could use if I ordered from Disney Shopping. At least that would bring the price down a little. It would be difficult to fit both in the wristlet unless they are very small. I have a Droid X and it just fits. Maybe the Wave is shorter. You can always return it if it's too small.

Oh, don't worry... I don't have just one. I already have two bags (sketch tote and black Mickey barrel) and a wristlet (red cruise). When I bought the first, I couldn't believe I had spent so much on a purse and was SURE it would be my only one. And today I just found out that they have Disney bags in stock at the Dooney outlet in CT, so I'm headed there tomorrow morning. This will not end well for my wallet...
