It's great that your frinds at work got you such a great gift! :yay:
I LOVE my wristlets - I use them mostly in the summer when I don't want to carry a big bag, & it's great for a "girls nite out" bag (large enough for lipstick, credit card, & some money).
Hope you had a great birthday - & enjoy the new bag!

Thanks for the birthday wishes and the advice on using a wristlet. I think I'll try it. I'm just worried that if I use that in Disney or someplace like that, I won't be able to have both hands free. I'll try on a night out or something like you suggested. Maybe it'll just take some getting used to! ;)

I actually use my wristlets like wallets. I have 2 wristlets inside my Dooney Sketch right now. One has all of my cards and money in it and the other has my lipstick, medicines and chewing gum/mints, etc..

I just got the DCL wristlet and am very disappointed by the size. It's more like a large coin purse than a wristlet in my opinion.

Ooooh that is an excellent idea! I also got the cosmetic bag with the same style so I could use one for cards/money and the other for meds/gum, etc. I think I know what you mean about the different wristlets. Some of them have the snap close cover and others seem flatter with a zipper, right?

Exactly! I have the white balloon one that I use for my wallet (cash, credit cards) and the WDW 40th that I use for my medicines, gum, lipstick, etc... Both of those are the same style with the snap close.

The DCL Dream Inaugural one is the zip coin purse style. It is honestly TINY and I can't figure out if I should keep it or not. Any ideas what I could fit in there?

And CONGRATS on your wristlet! :) That one is my favorite and why I chose to use that one for my wallet.

Not sure what type of camera you have but I have a small digital one that I keep in a wristlet (Disney - but not Dooney). Maybe you can keep your camera in the cruise line one.

Harvey's has a new strap pad for the messenger style bags. So, when we go to the parks I'm going to try it and see if it helps. I like the size of the bag but it is heavy, so maybe this will help. I'm testing it today:rotfl:

If the Harvey's bag is to heavy then I'll use the Dooney black margo.

This is an off topic question, but I know there a lot of Disney experts here-What would be the fastest way to get our annual passes done? We should be getting the paper part tomorrow and we are staying at the Contemporary. I used an AP discount for the room, so I have to get them activated to be able to check in. I was thinking the Disney ticket place but where would we park? Any advice would be greatly appreciated:banana:

Rachel.. have you called the resort and asked if you can do it with the concierge/guest services desk? The other option could be to go to downtown disney and get them at Guest Services. They nearby the Tren-D store. Have a wonderful trip! :cutie:

When we stayed at the Contemporary, we just walked over to guest services at the MK and activated our passes and bougth our TIW card. It's not a real long walk, and then you can just park your car at the Contemp.

You could park in the small parking lot at the main Lost and Found at the TTC and walk over to one of the ticket booths and activate them there.

I've used my wristlet when we have gone to sporting events or out to dinner. My chapstick, iPhone and a few credit/debit cards fit perfectly.

I plan to check my local TJ Maxx tomorrow.

I have the brown tonal wristlet and it sounds like it is the same size as the Dream Inaugural one. I use it strictly to hold money/credit cards and my ID inside of another bag (more like a change purse or wallet than a wristlet). When using it like that, I like that it is flat so that it doesn't take up much room inside of another bag, but is still easy to keep track of.

Thank you everyone:flower3: I think we will walk to the guest services, but I'm still going to call the hotel and ask. After 6 hours in car with husband and 2 kids :scared1::scared1::scared1: I want to get checked in asap:rotfl:

Liza, I still have the list:cutie:

So long as you aren't arriving during the big park opening rush times, you can just go to any of the parks (I'd pick whichever one is scheduled to have the lightest crowd that day). For parking, what we did in a similar situation is just to tell the attendant that we were on our way to activate our Annual Pass. (They may charge you for parking, but take your receipt with you, and you can get the parking refunded.) Then, we drove up to the closest space we could find. (There were CMs directing traffic to farther back spaces, but we let them know also that we were just headed up to the front to get an AP, and they waved us through.) I stayed in the car while DH ran up to get our passes and buy TIW for me, so we could leave the AC on. They did not like activating my pass without me being there, so do make sure that all of your people are there with you if at all possible. The CM that my husband dealt with did it under protest.

On topic: I got my very first Disney Dooney in the mail yesterday and I love it! :) I have three other Dooneys (two AWL handbags and one nylon mini in bright green), and I'd been hunting for a sketch tassel that had *no* Tinkerbell on it. I finally found an eBayer selling one and snapped it up! I will say that it has less room on the inside than I felt like it did when I checked it out at the parks, but it's still one of the largest purses I've ever had. It just makes me grin every time I see it though. :yay:

Does anyone think they will still have the Medium Cindy Tote in August as I don't go to WDW until then and I'm dying for this bag. I was going to get it off disneystore.com but I am scared the character placement won't be what I'm wanting.

I wonder if this is available in the parks. I'm nervous about placement...

I ordered two and i did not really find the placement i am looking for, so im ordering two more and then just picking the best out of the four and returning the rest. A little more expensive with the cost of return shipping but for $210 I want to get a purse i love. I also wont be visiting the parks til January so i want to make sure i get one.

I'm not going until December. $210 is high considering the price and size of the large tote. I'm torn. I'm going back to see the pics Nikki posted. I'm with you, I want one that I lOVE!

Ok, I just looked at the pics again (pg 23 if anyone's interested) and it's bigger in person than it looks. Thanks again to NIkki for posting pics on her shoulder! Decisions, decisions...
