How exciting! Here's hoping for great pattern placement.

I saw someone wearing a Dream Inaugural Cruise jacket at Disney the other day. Of course I couldn't resist going up and asking about it (DD was mortified )

They mentioned how badly DCL handled the special merchandise as well. But they raved about the ship and they seemed to have had a great cruise overall. I hope you did too.

The cruise was absolutely amazing! The only issue we had was with merchandising but other than that it was incredible.

I have decided to sell 3 crossbody bags(pink, yellow, and green), 5 wristlets, and a balloon make up case(not at a high price-a fair price) NWT on eBay. This morning I started organizing my bags and I had two colors of some wristlets and the crossbody bags are not really my favorite color. Also, I had gotten the cosmetic cases for gifts and still have one extra one besides the one for me.

This is so hard to do!!! I know I won't use them, but I could use the extra room and maybe my husband will not get so mad about the bags I bought while he was in Iraq. He will be home in 5 days I'm doing 3 day listings so they will be gone in time.

Anyone else have a hard time parting with your bags? Also, I'm not sure if this is allowed to be asked but does anyone know what would be a good starting price? I don't want to lose too much money but I want bidders.

I know what you mean about finding it hard to part with them, I have only sold one in the past but I decided today that if my new Dream satchel has good placement when it arrives then I will sell my Dream crossbody bag. I figure that I only need one in each pattern. (Plus I already have a whole cupboard full of bags. )

I need to list on ebay my letter carriers since I find them too small for the things I tend to carry. I would be interested in a balloon cosmetic bag if you have one still.

I might have another extra one-that's awful when you find bags you forgot about. After I make dinner I'll look.

The letter carriers are so cute but the messenger works a lot better for me and they are also cute

As much as everyone here can relate, I'm thinking DS online probably isn't really set up to accomdate placement requests. Honestly, I don't know how much help you're going to get on this one.

Sheesh, I sometimes have a hard time convincing CM's in the parks that I want a bag that speaks to me, not whatever they happen to bring out from the back. And it's not that difficult for them.

Did you read what Nikki's mom went through to get her the perfect Lucy bag from DS online? I guess that's always an option, if you're willing to do it.

Good Luck, I hope I'm wrong on this one. I'd love for you to come back and post that you found a great CM who went out of their way to make sure you got a bag with great placement. Unforunately I think it's a long shot.

I have two left-one for me and an extra one that I really don't need. There is one on eBay with 3 days left and it's up to $30! I really wish they made the wristlets with the zipper in more of the patterns.

Someone from the boards is getting the 3rd one I had Will be shipping to her tomorrow.

I do have a few other bags that aren't pictured, but I consider them here on approval as I'm not sure whether I'll actually keep them or not. I tend to over buy and then sell what I decide not to keep.

I emailed them last night about my Harvey's turning yellow and asked if it was guaranteed. Here is their response:

Thank you for your email and I am sorry to hear about this! The only thing I can think of would be that maybe due to normal day wear and tear of what you may do with your bag, it could fade. I would definitely suggest taking warm water, colorless detergent and a damp cloth to wipe down your bag. If this doesn’t restore its color to the color you originally had, I highly suggest sending it to our Bag Spa. I have attached the form for you to fill out and send in along with your bag. If this is something you would be interested in, please send the bag and the form our way! As soon as we receive the package, we can clean the bag on up and send it back out to you.

Please let me know if you may have any further questions.

So it looks like I should try washing it with the oxy cleaner first. I guess then in order to prove it is not wear and tear, since I just started using it about two weeks ago for the first time and saw the yellowing before then, I have to pay them $20 to use their bag spa. I wonder if then the guarantee would be in effect if they could not get the yellowing out of the bag?

Best wishes for cleaning the bag yourself! It seems odd that the bag would fade. I would try the cleaner on a small area first to make sure the cleaning doesn't ruin anything. I would think the guarantee would be in effect if their bag spa doesn't bring back the color. Since you noticed the discoloring before using the purse, you know it isn't dirty. Harvey's seems like a good company. I watched their video tour of their factory, and everything is assembled in their factory here. They say their purses are very durable and fade-resistant. Anyway, let me know how it goes!!!

I have enjoyed seeing all of the collections too! You have to say that the ladies on this thread are the true Disney Dooney enthusiasts!!! I have bought various Disney purses over the years and was absolutely thrilled when the Sketch bags were brought out. Last summer, I cleared my closet of most of my other Disney purses. Even though I've enjoyed those less expensive purses, I knew it would be hard to use them once I got the Dooneys. I did keep some of the less expensive purses to carry to the theme parks. Do you ladies take your Dooneys to the parks? I could see wearing the cross body/letter carrier ones...but they are a bit small for what I like to carry.

I've carried both the blue sketch letter carrier & the mickey faces pouchette to the parks and both worked great

The larger bags are way to heavy to be "park" bags IMO

At the prices they charge for the Disney D&B collections, I'm surprised that they don't come with dust bags.

Since my handbag obsession extends well beyond these handbags, I already have quite a few extra dustbags around, so I use those.

I've used plain white pillowcases before though. That actually worked quite well because I could label the pillowcase so I didn't have to search through a bunch of dustbags to find the handbag I was looking for.

Or you could make your own. They're pretty easy to whip together. There are also folks who sell homemade ones if you don't mind paying for them.

Thanks for the suggestion! I have one of the 1st edition sketch that I'm concerned about yellowing. The others I'm not as concerned about - I just store them on a shelf but that one was my 1st designer bag and a Xmas present from my mom

Thanks! I found a very nice CM on the cruise who offered to go in the back and search their stock to find the perfect tote for me. He got a positive mention on my comment card for sure!

I've always said that if they ever come out with a backpack style Disney Dooney I'll be all over it, even if it's in a pattern I don't particularly care for. Someone needs to pass the backpack request along to Ian Ray at the WDW signing.

Some days I travel light enough to use my letter carrier in the parks, but certainly not always. I definitely keep my pre-Disney Dooney park bags handy for days that I want to have more stuff with me.

I used my purple letter carrier this past time and was really happy with it. I still had my faux sport sac Mickey backpack for the kids' stuff, but it was great having all of MY stuff accessible without needing to search for it. It was great for the airport too.

Well, now I FINALLY have internet back! So, thought I would post the pic I had taken of the 40th and the 55th side by side. I know someone else did a side by side, but hey, couldn't hurt to have another, right?
Since I decided I like the Disneyland better (found childhood memories ) I am throwing the 40th on ebay. And since I am sending the 55th back to get better placement (I'm hoping for a complete Disneyland entrance/parking lot sign, or Mickey & Minnie, or both; on the front) I have no bag to use right now.
Well, except my small navy blue Mickey face one.

Thanks. And ya, in theory, I could take it back, but since I lost the reciept it would have to be "credit", and while I would have no problems using that much credit I really need money instead. Plus, well, maybe I can help spread the WDW love outside the "World", since apparently these guys are only available at the resort right now.
