Dooney & Bourke Disney collaboration ~ part 3

Beautiful collection!!! Would you mind posting some close ups of just the Princess bag? I've had my eye on that for a while and just can't make up my mind between that and the 40th!

Thank you. I am assuming you'd like pictures of the satchel and not the bucket bag. I took pictures of both just in case but I will post the satchel and if you would like the others, let me know. I purchased my bags off the Disney store online so I didn't get to pick the placement but I am happy with what I have. It is really only the back that I don't love because the buckle part covers Cinderella and Aurora. My wristlet is perfect for those two though so it doesn't bother me that much.

The other side is basically the same. It has really nice placement on that side with Snow White and several of the other designs around her.

front:

The inside of the bag is baby blue. You can see the color a little bit in the picture of the front. Hope this helps.

The gal at the D&B outlet near me said that they have pictures of the Disney collections in their sales books, but she had never actually seen any of it because their contract with Disney prohibits them from selling co-branded product. She was really excited to see my DL55 bag in person. I've picked up a couple of D&B items that coordinate well with my Disney bags at the outlet store.

And no, sorry to say the outlets won't be carrying the Disney line.
I bought a red D&B zip around wallet, I don't use checks out so no need for the big Disney one. The red is the same color as the lining in my 40th messenger bag tho, so it looks like a match!

Well, I really don't like the sizes of the 40th bag. They are too big for me. So, I ordered a Harvey's Comic seatbelt bag on disneystore.com. It's on sale for $79.99, and I got an additional 10% off using my Disney VISA. Plus, it's made in the USA!

But, I will check out the 40th wallets when I go to WDW in June.

Just got back from Dooney and Bourke. I was complimented on my black, Mickey balloon head satchel by the clerks. I got a wallet that matches ALL of my D&B bags PLUS my honey told me to get a small plaid purse that screams me. When I get a chance I will post my D&B collection that includes my Disney satchel, sketch and the like.

I really love the 40th anniversary pattern; it feels very Mad Men. Unfortunately, I don't like the shape of the purses in this edition. I know I'm picky, but I like having both carry handles and a cross-body strap, like the Tassel Tote.

Still...I might have to break down and get one of the 40th bags. I just love the pattern so much, and I want to show my WDW pride!

I agree. I love the pattern, but not the styles available. I'm thinking about getting the wallet, though.

I too wish there were other styles for the 40th anniversary pattern I would love it if the pattern came in the Mickey Wonder or Colette size I still want one so I will be getting the bucket style when we go in 44 days Still debating the wallet, mainly because of the $175 price tag

So I've hit panic mode..... I visited a Dooney Store today and saw a "Large Kristen", that's what it said on the tag, and it was a huge bag!!!! Is the 40th anniversary Kristin the large one or is there a different size. By looking at the modeling photos it looks big but not as big as I saw today. I'm petite, but I do have large bags and my heart was really set on the Kristen as I don't like any of the other bags.

I think I would also wait and get your disney dooney with your sister's discount. Maybe you can show her the placement you want so once she is elgible for the CM discount she can purchase it for you.

Regarding the keyfob strap on the inside:

I hate those things!!! But in my personal case I wouldn't cut it out. What I do id put a small bottle of hand sanitizer on the end, not my keys.

I used to hate it, too, but I thought of a good use for it. (There's one on my "every day" purse: a D&B nylon mini satchel.) I use mine to keep a keyring will all of my store "cards", e.g., grocery store club cards, CVS club card. That's come in handy several times, and it keeps the clutter off of my key ring while still keeping them handy!

One of my friends keeps her pill case tethered to it. I think that's a good idea, too.

DH started a bracelet for me late 2009. Since then thanks to birthdays, holidays, etc., between DH and DDs, I have collected enough Disney and non-Disney that I transferred all Disney charms to a separate bracelet. Our local jewelry store keeps an individual record of which charms a person has so when DH bought me a charm for Valentine's Day, the gal encouraged him to start adding some more Muranos (spelling?) so I guess I'll be seeing more of those in the future. After seeing the bracelet posted here I can see how much more beautiful the bracelet is with some beads. Does anyone wear Chamilia charms on a necklace? I saw a necklace at Disney last year with Chamilia charms on it, but unfortunately I didn't see that necklace when we were there last week. In fact, maybe I wasn't looking in the right places, but I didn't see any Chamilias at all.

This is my necklace. I got the beads when they were buy 3 get 1 free.

This is my mostly Disney Bracelet. I got the tree to represent Animal Kingdon cause its one of my favs. The bead is not a chamilia. I got the laser to represent the Buzz Lightyear ride, a family fav. The castle chamilia makes I don't think it represents Cinderella's castle very well so I found an off brand that I thought did

On topic here is one of my Dooney's. I also have the large sketch tote,purple sketch wristlet and 2 balloon cosmetic bags.

We should start a new thread for Chamilia addicts! There was one on the budget board for a while, but it wasn't busy enough to stay on the front pages. Maybe I'll go bump it.
