Dooney & Bourke Disney collaboration ~ part 3

Hi Everybody,
I have been reading a lot but not posting. I love looking at everyone's collections. I am another one that couldn't have cared less about designer bags until I saw the Disney Dooneys. My first Disney Dooney was the Wonder Wristlet which I bought for a cruise last June. On the cruise, I got the Cruiseline Tassel Tote - the red white and blue design. Then along came cyber Monday and I ordered the black Balloon satchel. On a Christmas trip to Disney, I was able to shop Disney Dooneys other than the cruise ones, up close and personal for the first time and use the 20% off coupons that were being printed on the quick service reciepts. I came home with a white balloon Collette, a white balloon wristlet, a princess wristlet and a blue sketch crossbody - all bought using 20% off coupons. Did I mention this was a solo trip? The week after Christmas I ordered the black balloon crossbody and for Valentine's Day the Princess Tote.

Ok now here is the bad part. Hubby and I are sailing on The Dream in two weeks I got the Dream Crossbody on ebay last night for a reasonable price, with shipping a bit more than I would have paid on the Dream but the placement is exactly what I wanted and I wanted to be sure to stay within my customs spending allotment which I think is $800 a person. Wouldn't have been an issue except I am bring a Dream satchel back for a friend and of course I want one two. This is the first cruise for Hubby and Me and for our anniversary so I will need to buy picks at Shutters too. I have done all this "damage" and I live in TEXAS. Its a good thing I can't just drive over to WDW anytime to shop.

I am a kindergarten teacher and the students love my Disney Dooney's. It makes me happy just to see them. I look at them as utilitarian pieces of art.

Glad you finally posted Welcome to the disney dooney addiction! Don't worry, here we don't judge on your purse buying madness, we embrace it. All it takes is to buy one disney dooney and the addiction is started. Look back a couple of posts, and you'll see others collections. I live in Texas, wish I was closer to disney

I'm in the North Austin area. I lived in SC most of my life, just a short drive from the World, but have been in TX for almost 13 years now. Hubby and I plan to move to the Orlando area when I retire from teaching - about 3-6 yrs.
We're actually going to do some preliminary house hunting this summer. Looking for that perfect retirement home close to Disney.

I love the Austin area. My bestfriend moved up to Austin a couple of years ago, and whenever I get a chance I visit her. My daughter will probably be attending UT Austin in the near future. She is a Junior this year. I live in South Texas, about a 5 hour drive from Austin. I'm sure you will find a great property in Orlando..happy house hunting.

Hello Strangers! I leave the boards for like 2 months and you guys already have an entire new thread and 63 pages!!! I love my DIS Dooney Gals!!!

I like the WDW 40th...but I don't love it, I LOVE the DL 55th... I think they should have made it more special and its own.. Just my opinion....

So what's new with everyone. We are taking a DISNEY USA Roundtrip tour for our 10 year anniversary in May. Starting at Disneyland for 2 days, then Disneyworld for 4 days, then DCL for the 3 night. I'm sooo excited!!! Do you think they'll still be selling the Inaugural bags on the Dream then??? I like that one!

LOL, oops!!! Shows how closely I was looking at them...I just figured maybe you had one for each part of your Disney USA trip that you were talking about (which, BTW, I am extremely jealous!).

I think they start over when the countdown is complete, so it did look like they were new trips. Alas, no... Sad.

If I had the money, I'd do a Disney round the WORLD trip and hit up all 5 parks...Sadly, that is not in the budget this year...(or probably in any year!)

Hi.. I knew exactly what placement I wanted when I got the 55th disney dooney wallet. Thanks to Sheila, she found the perfect one But, I have yet to see my perfect placement on a 40th disney dooney wallet. Hoping those that have bought one will please share your pics

Thanks for the info. I have my eye on two bags. I really want the 40th anniversary Messenger, and I would like the princess tote. But I am also really picky about placement and I know exactly what I want each bag to look like. Hopefully I will find what I am looking for.

There's a princess bag on e-bay right now that has the placement that I want, but I am hoping to get it in person. I want Belle centered in the front of the bag with the rose and the castle visible.

For the messenger, I would like to have a full Donald and a full Goofy on the front. Those characters both have special meaning for me.
