Dooney & bourke Disney collaboration part 2

So I stayed up watching Dooney on QVC last night and thought about all the Disney options they could be doing with the bags they had.

They had some letter carriers and I dreamt all night about getting a Disney one and using it for the plane. I usually have a backpack for the plane and the parks so I had already pretty much decided NOT to bring one of my Disney Dooneys except for the wristlets which I use for wallets and camera cases. This way I can hopefully buy something new. But it looked like a convenient bag to wear and have my wallet, phone, ID ipod accessible without getting in my way...

So for all you girls who have the letter carriers (DL or colored sketch) how do you like them? And also, does anyone have a pic of (the colored sketch) one with good mickey & castle placement? My dad is going in Oct. and I'm thinking of having him pick one up, but I seriously need a visual to help him out.

you and i are two peas in a pod! i saw that on QVC too and just thought about all of the terrific options! i had the letter carrier and sold it .. i really regret it it was a very nice bag i just thought it was really small and i wouldnt be able to fit much in it ... but that is a sacrifice i should have been willing to make for such a cute bag!

Hey girls! I finally got to use the Mickey Tonal Triple Zip last weekend at Hershey Park. It was light enough to use as a park bag and held everything I needed (camera, tickets, maps, etc.). I am looking forward to using it again when we go to WDW in December!

I can just see your dad standing in the store, comparing the picture to each and every letter carrier in stock, trying desperately to find the best match. He would definitely deserve a giant atta boy for doing a good job with that.

The letter carrier doesn't hold much, that's for sure. But I think it's a great little bag for quick trips when you only need the bare necessities with you. I took mine when I picked DD up at dance the other day, and it caused quite the commotion, I swear everyone who saw it wanted one. In fact, I think Disney & Dooney should pay me a referral fee.

I'm still trying to decide if I can go lightweight enough to use it as a park bag. I think it would be great for that, but only if I can pare down the amount of stuff I normally carry. Hopefully I'll have a chance to try that out sometime soon-ish.

At one point I had a tote, a messenger, a letter carrier, and a wristlet in the DL 55 pattern. I decided that might be a bit much, so since I hardly ever wear bags crossbody style, I got rid of the messenger. But I'm getting ready to head to the airport right now, and I'm thinking the messenger would be a nice size to take, and being able to go hands free by wearing it crossbody would be perfect.

Hmmm maybe I do need every bag in the collection after all. That's not really overdoing it if they each have a different purpose, is it?

Dad's a trooper! That said I would love to see him going through the bags.

I know I can't get away with it as a park bag. With 2 kids I still need too much stuff. But I usually just jam my wallet into a carry on bag for the plane and then I'm always afraid i'm going to lose it or drop something. But watching the models wear the bags made me think I could just sling it on and forget about. Plus she was adjusting the straps and she took the long piece off and made it a small over the shoulder bag. Lol I was engrossed for over an hour!

Thank god they don't sell the disney bags on QVC, I would've bought them all! I had to keep telling myself last night "you want a disney bag, don't do it, disney bag."

I received my blue sketch wristlet from my neighbour today it lol...now I have a white medium tote , a white wristlet and a blue one Iam so debating on will I buy the Big white sketch ( don't remember thename of the bag lol...) or the black barrel type in 3 weeks also are those two still everywhere in wdw stores ??
and here comes a big question some kind of mini poll for me wich would you buy

im thinking im going to buy the large white sketch. it looks nice and roomy like a good travel bag ... and i love my wonder tote and this looks like a very nice large version of it! the wonder tote is terrific ! so comfortable on the arm!

I'm in NY and yes, wore it from January on.

I just explained my reasoning for wanting to get a letter carrier to my husband and he's on board. He's a keeper.

I have a large white sketch (thanks Hallowishes for my first Dooney purchase!!!). I love looking at it, but I have only used it once. It is so big, I should probably sell it (says the normal part of my brain), but it's so pretty that I can't give it up yet (says the abnormal part of my brain). I'm so glad that I'm in such good company here that I'm sure all of you gals will understand my rationalization .

I plan on getting a black wonder tote when we are in Disney in October unless I see a good deal on ebay before then. That bag looks like it will be the perfect size for me. Maybe a sketch blue letter carrier will be in my future too... one can never tell

Lately, I've been obsessing over the 55th tote, but I don't think those handles will work for me. I like something to go over my shoulder and be comfortable.

I would not let the time of year keep me from using the white sketch or any bag for that fact. Life is too short to not use what you want when you want. If the white sketch bag brings you some sunshine when it's 5 below then all the better .

Hi, question for those of you that have the disneyland 55th anniversary tote.

How comfortable is the tote on your shoulders? Seems like the handles are quite short. My sister is debating between this tote and the messenger bag.

You're welcome!!! I am sooo in the same boat as you on the tote! So I have the 55th tote, with THE most perfect placement ever... but I have yet to use it. And yes, the rational side of my brain says, you probably won't, but I just love it too much to sell it. It is so cute, and such perfect placement, that I just can't do it. I just can't. I can't part with it. So help me, even if I leave those tags on it for 20 years, I'm keeping it!!!

My husband left for Afghanistan this morning and should be back by the end of February or first week of March. Kids are upset This is his first time being gone for so long and my son is really taking it hard.

On Topic: Disney Dooney and Bourke needs to come out with the pattern that is on the colored sketch in different style bags with all of the colors.

Cell phone cases and umbrellas would be nice-any other ideas for products? A backpack? A keychain? More smaller accessories-small coin purse, lipstick holder, purse size agenda. They could make a fortune because a lot people like to coordinate their accessories.
