Dooney & bourke Disney collaboration part 2

Okay so I just got off the phone with vault 28. He said they aren't receiving the bags until Saturday, so I can't look at them early...but he did say they are getting A LOT, and as far as he knew there was no limit to how many you could buy. So my plan is to buy a couple of each and ship them from disney to my home, so if anyone wants what I have when I get back, I am just asking that everyone who gets one, chips in for the original shipping from disneyland as well as their own shipping. I'm more than happy to pick up what I can, but don't want to pay a huge shipping fee when I would only be buying one for myself and wouldn't really ship it, if it was just mine. Does that sound fair to everyone wanting one??? Let me know....so excited to see them!!!!

Sounds very fair! Just divide the shipping by the number of bags you buy. You are so very kind to do this.

Lol) anything so please don't get super excited yet, as i'd hate if they did end up having a limit or something, or do actually sell thru...so we will figure out money situation after I get back, for now can u please PM me what you want. I will probably limit it if we start getting too many...

Ohhh also, I just got off the phone with delivears...I'm getting as much info as possible. The shipping is based on amount spent, the guy couldn't give me an exact amount since we don't have the total purchase price, but I was like okay say $900, he said that would be about $130 to $150. Wowza. But as a saving grace, we wouldn't have to pay tax since they'd be shipped to oregon and we don't have tax here. So I guess it would come out fairly close to even between either shipping, versus paying there and paying to check 1 to 2 bags on airline and paying tax.

Has anyone ordered something that large before, like $ wise, that just seems so steep to me. But I guess they'll probably have to use a few boxes and then pay for insurance right??? So anywho, just another update on it.

It does sound a little crazy. You could hit $900 with 4 bags...then shipping would be $35-45 a bag. Where are you staying?

I doubt they have mailing services...I know the florida disney hotels do. Not as familiar with Disneyland. As a kids we always had a boatload of suitcases and as an adult we just crammed it all in. We've never sent that $ amount home before. Sorry.

Wow, the sketch print ,medium tote retails for $190 at disney world. The disney land edition medium tote $270 that's a big price difference.

Wow, the sketch print ,medium tote retails for $190 at disney world. The disney land edition medium tote $270 that's a big price difference.

They are different shapes so different prices. Looks like different types of leather handles also. Not saying that all D&B are not overpriced, but they price pretty consistently.

I also don't think HoJo's has a mailing service. You could check with one of the three Disney Hotels. Grand California has a conference center and at WDW I found the hotel with conference centers were the ones that had the mailing service. (I have used the one at Boardwalk and it worked very well)

I should be able to go on Sat if anyone needs help getting a bag(don't want to step on anyone's toes, just offering to help if it is helpful. Now I live in California so I can't help you save the sales tax.

YEAH!! Look what came in the mail today.

My mom and grandma bought it for me since I've been taking care of my grandfather (bed ridden) and helping my grandma since November. When I told them about the new purses and how they came out just a few days after we left Disney and how disappointed I was that they didn't have them while we were there. They told me to find one that I like and get it. I searched Ebay day and night until I found one what I thought was great placement. I also had a bit of trouble because many of the Ebay sellers state in their listings that the item pictured is a stock photo and the actual purse will be different, I didn't want that I wanted to pick my placement. So anyway yay!! I think I did good.

Janell, I won't consider it stepping at all, it might help a ton actually. I've been stressing about how to get it done, and this might be a better solution, and we might be able to get more people bags this way. The shipping is just out of control...pm me if u r okay to help out and we can figure it out. Maybe you get the big bags and I will pick up the small ones that I can throw in my suitcase?? That would help a ton...

Oh look....me again-

So maybe checking a bag really is the best idea. Everyone already knew they'd be paying tax, so we won't have to worry about the million dollars in disney shipping fee. But would you guys mind chipping in for the checked bag? It's $20 each way on Alaska Airlines?? I just want to know in advance, otherwise, I'm not going to check a bag...

Just wanted to let everyone know that the Navy Mickey Face Dooney and the Pink Minnie Dooney bags are ON SALE!?! The large bag is on sale for 133 and the pouchette is 44. I had been waiting till I went down to get one, but now seeing that they are on sale, I think that they are discontinuing them to make room for all the new colored ones! Shipping is only 5.00. Just ordered it. Hope everyone who wants one is able to get it before they are gone! Can't wait to get mine.

BTW - this is on the Disney Store website.. so I don't know if you can get the same deal on the merchandise line.

Sounds like the same material as the Sketch. My tassel tote is SO stiff!
