Don't you hate it when all ADR's are made, FP+ are made, packing list is ready, shopping is done but it is too soon to truly pack things.

We are 24 days away from our trip and everything is ready except for pulling out the suitcases and packing. I don't want to pack too soon because I don't want all the clothes to get wrinkled and I know we will need some of the items on our packing list before then. But it is driving me crazy not to be doing something to get ready for our trip. I packed our toiletry items this past weekend that we won't need prior to the trip. But now I am in a holding pattern. I keep looking at my packing list over and over and I keep reviewing by ADR's, FP+, menus where we are eating at, etc.

How do you pass the time once you get to this point of planning your trip?

I start planning my next one.

That's what I do. :thumbsup2

I'll 1-up you. It's 60 days out today, but my traveling companion became unemployed last Friday. Now, I'm not sure we'll be able to go. All depends on if another job happens or not.

Fingers crossed though.

We leave on June 13th, so we will be there at the same time. And that is exactly where I am at. I think I have done all the planning I can, everything is done. My oldest son graduates from high school in 2 weeks, so some planning with that and my younger son play soccer so we have a bit to keep us occupied. But I just know these next 3 1/2 weeks are going to drag by....lol

We leave the 14th but to the other coast. I am so ready to start packing but I am waiting to see what the weather will be like!

I hate all the lulls! Seriously it's like my least favorite part of planning!

I plan what I want to buy in-parks and I....may start packing early. Just the things I know I won't need until then!

Call me insane (and you won't be the first) but I ALREADY have my suitcase basically packed for my (gulp!) October trip. I used to take about 5 major trips a year (cruises, land trips, WDW) and I was always coming or going; unpacking from a recent trip and leaving a suitcase or two out to start throwing stuff in for the next one.

I have new clothes that I bought for the trip (don't want to wear them until then), costume stuff, glow sticks, little Disney gifts for the kids coming, mouse ears, Mickey purse, Disneybounding stuff, munchies for the hotel room, trading pins. At the last minute I'll throw in my toiletries and a few other little things and be good to go.

I love to pack and plan! And trip over a suitcase for 5 months, apparently! :rotfl:

Time to make the countdown paper-chains and shops for little Disney surprises for the kids.

I packed. :rolleyes1 :lmao:
I made a promise to myself to wait until 30 days out at the minimum and challenged myself to wait even longer. At around the 30 days mark, I was reviewing my packing list, and started rounding up clothes and the sort. Shortly after that, I started packing. I couldn't help it. It was probably a good thing I did start though because it was exhausting to haul things around. After packing each bag, I kept complaining that I need a vacation from packing for my vacation so staggering the packing turned out to be a good thing.

Oh my goodness! i am not alone! We are going in October and i already have the suitcases out and partially packed. i have my disney shirts all ready, some brand new that i am saving to wear. i even bought disney crocs on ebay to go with all my outfits. i have glow sticks, too! i'm waiting a bit on the munchies, as the expiration dates are still too soon on the things i found at the grocery store. It is helping to put together my binder with all our information in it, maps, flight info, reservation numbers. i should probably work on the information for our pet sitter/house sitter. i really love the planning part. Oh, do you all have your mousekeeper envelopes for your tips for the maids?

I start to make piles of stuff I know I won't need before we travel... make sure things fit that I don't wear often (some of my hot weather clothes don't necessarily come out for a year or two in the UK, as we sometimes don't get much of a summer).

I also read blogs/trip reports/check out photos and read my guide books some more!

OP, I'd be your worst nightmare! I pack the day before we go so that I know exactly what went into the suitcase and that nothing was borrowed out of it

You guts are way too orderly for me, lol

24 days away, I would be packing.

Here's what I do. I throw open my suitcases and each time I do laundry I put one outfit that I want to wear or I want my kids to wear in the suitcase. I will start that process June 1st! I secretly have a count down to when I can start packing!

Don't judge:lovestruc

I'm 13 days away, and my suitcases are out but there's just a handful of things inside. I've got a couple more toiletries to grab and I'm treating myself to some new clothes this weekend before I officially start packing.

But overall these last few weeks of waiting are torture.

Our trip is September 10-16th and I am already aching to pack :rotfl: you're not alone!

I'm spending my time working on outfits, making tee's for DD and later today I'll be hitting the fabric store to make her some Anna/Elsa dresses and then to work on our costumes for MNSSHP.

That should keep me occupied for awhile ;)

I'm with you! I'm usually running a last-minute load of laundry at 10:00 the night before. :rotfl:

We leave for Orlando in 31 days and I am thinking it is time to start (well really just modify an old one) my packing list. I usually end up buying a few new things for the trip - started that this weekend - new rash guards and water shoes for the kids, etc.. I don't want to pack too early because we do use many of the items we would want to pack. This year both kids will be off to camp the week before we go so I figure that will be the best time to pack since I will have lots of free time.

I am not quite to a holding pattern, but with this trip being a honeymoon we have ALOT to keep us busy. I don't know what I'm going to do when we plan another trip and do to have the wedding making things move faster!

I would watch the posted wait times to get a feel for how the waits changed by DOW and time of day. I'll probably still do that for the rides for which we do not have FP+.

Oh, and get through as much work as possible so I won't be bothered too much on vacation.

Okay now I feel better and know that I am not the only insane person here. I have been wanting to pack for weeks but I have been holding back. I have the suitcases laid out in my spare room. I have pulled everything we plan to take and it is sitting in tote boxes in the spare room (I call this pre-packing, so no one tries to wear clothes that are for the trip). My plan is to fluff the clothes in the dryer and pack this weekend.

Now I just wish time would go by faster. Good thing is that the weekend before our trip we are jammed packed with Girl Scout activities so at least we won't be sitting around watching the clock that weekend.
