... you encounter a thread you find hilarious and read through the brouhaha and prepare to post a comment only to find an otherwise unoccupied moderator has closed it?

And to think I gave her a ride in my Alamo rental car one year (true) and taught her all she knows about moderating (false) while drinking our way around the world showcase (partially true).

HEY! Leave mom alone now! :rotfl2:

Ummmm, and there was that 'situation' in England if I remember correctly???? :rolleyes1 Just sayiing.
But man...overall, that was a very good day!!! I had such a great time with my DIS buddies!!!! Wandering around with you, meeting up with others over in France, sitting there, solving all the world's problems, for more than 3 hrs, so that the French entertainer started giving us funny looks when he would come out for his next act...keeping the wine/slushie kiosk in business, then more wine in Italy, then over to LeCellier for light dinner. Heck yeah, that was fun!!!

Hey...nothing was being served in that thread. I have no issue with Alamo at all. In fact, I'm renting from them in Dec....gotta get my sorry rump over to US/IoA for the night somehow. And, we are using National in 11 days!!! Nope, no issues at all. And, I got a great rate with National.....$153 for an Impala (or like) for a week!!!

Had a great rental with National... $116 total for 9 days - Emerald Aisle. They had jeeps, Escapes, volvos, VW's, other sedans, Santa Fes. We picked a Santa Fe for the 2 of us. Liked it a lot. Less than 4k miles on it, 2011, with XM radio. We visited IOA to swig butterbeer and take on Hogsmeade (perfect morning - no lines, valet parked, rode everything a few times, had lunch, mailed notes from the owlery, bought souvies and left by 1pm). We also visited the shore, did some stand-up paddleboarding, shopped both premium outlets and the Florida Mall. Last few days of our trip we had the best weather I've ever seen there... mid seventies and low humidity. It was like being in So CA.

Have a great trip!!

You gave her a ride in a car while drinking around the world showcase?

Now THAT's a story! Both Disney illegal and For Real illegal, but a story all the same!

(me thinks I'm reading too much into that "and" and "while"....)

Yes, bumbershoot - you're reading too much into the conjunctions. Those were consecutive, not concurrent, events :teeth:

And DON'T get them started on what happened at Pleasure Island! Yes, it was that weekend ;).

Drat. I was so hoping it was a real story! :thumbsup2;):rotfl:

Oh yes DO get them started!

No can do. We - and the men we started the night with (also DISers) are sworn to secrecy.

Excuse me while I PM them all and 'remind' them of this pact ;).
