Don't ya hate waiting for medical test results?

Trying to work, but I am anxious waiting to hear about my 24 hour urine test...they found protein in my urinalysis. Thanks for listening.
Of course, my mom is even more anxious than me. She is on dialysis and sure doesn't want one of her kids going through it.

luvwinnie.. prayers and pd sent for good results on your tests. I have a long convoluted medical history so yup, I agree, waiting for test results can be a bummer.... Hopefully you will know something soon. Knowing something is much better than knowing nothing.

Unfortunately, I'm a veteran of gazillions of medical tests, and the waiting is really torture. I feel your pain, and I'm hoping everything turns out okay.

according to the woman at the lab....they might be ready later on this week...they have to send something out....must have found some freakish results! lol

Be glad that you live in America, where test results actually DO come in a short period of time.

Last year, when we were in Russia and my DS was in the hospital, I asked the drs to culture his staph infection so they'd be positive about the drug they were giving him (and so we could leave the hospital and give him an oral antibiotic.) My brother is a pharmacist and told me that the results would be back in 2 days. The drs laughed at me and told me that my DS would be cured before they'd get the results back there. They wouldn't have anything back for at least 12 days. They went on to say how hard it is if someone thinks they have cancer and they don't get the results back for a month.

I hope it makes you feel a little better. The waiting stinks, but it could be worse. I hope you get the results that you want!

Yes, and here in Canada, they only call you if the results are abnormal. Otherwise, you wonder and wonder if enough time has passed for the test to have been done.

medical field. I can empathize with patients and know what it's like to go through the "red tape" and deal with insensitive people.
