So much for the pride in the heritage
Who is forgetting about the on going racism? It seems to be those here who complain about the "race card" being played the incidents of racism are brought up.
Yep! and Bruce had to ask him to stop using the music . . . that was before the musicians going for cease and decist orders. Good Old Ronnie's followers only knew those words in that ditty. They were completely ignorant of the rest of the lyrics.
We can't be proud of a song about the south and not relate it to the Confederacy? Oh, if we do we aren't proud and if we do we are being offensive! Sort of a danged if we do and a danged if we don't.
I am very proud to be a southerner and of my heritage just as most southerners are. American by birth, Southern by the grace of God. I love the south and everything about it. But it has a history just like the rest of the country. We just don't seem to sit and stew on our history quite as much.
