Don't understand!!!!

So I have a package booked for Sept 20-28 at the POR. I want to change it to All-stars because of money problems (fuel pump of my car only $700.00) MY DISNEY MONEY. So I look online and there is rooms at the sports and music so I call to change and I was told no rooms for all star for my dates so I go back online and the rooms are still there. I ask why I can't book them and I was told I was doing something wrong online and there are no rooms so I hung up. I look online again still rooms so I get offline and call again was told the same thing again no rooms and they told me they didn't know why rooms were showing online. Then ask if I can book online then put the package with my air that I have book with the first package. NO!!! I would have to rebook air. I would lose my first air and have to pay more for the second one. Do I look dumb??? I'm trying to save money. I don't know if we will be going now I can't get the money for the first package and I have 20 days left. What do I do????

Was your original booking with any kind of discount? If so, that could be the problem (only a certain # of rooms are allotted for the discount rate).

If not, I would call back and request a supervisor!

who did you book through and who did you call? disney doesn't do airline packages so there shouldn't be any issue hooking your airline to say DME

u can book air through disney travel company but *sometimes* its more expensive

I think she just meant that she booked her flights through Disney. This, they do.

I booked with Disney and I got the free dining promo. Disney does have air and it was the cheapest out there. I got airtran for $158 roundtrip from disney and it is added to my package so if I cancel the package I lose the air. If I can get a new package online with the free dining promo why can't I get it when i call to change my current package?

Disney has a certain number of rooms avalabel with different PINs. Like last year, I had a 40% off code for the Poly and used it but my friend couldnt use hers cuz they didnt have anymore rooms with that PIN. Maybe this is what happened? I would call ans say i need to downgrade due to financial issues and see what happens

Besides that, How much is the difference in price? If its not that much I would keep it....or see if booking seperate air is cheaper

I understand that they can sell out of rooms for the promo but what I don't understand is why does it show rooms online for the promo but when i call the cast member says no rooms. Why can you book online but not over the phone?

it is about $600.00 cheaper because we are going to go to the parks a couple less days to help save money

This is the problem. You have booked with a discount. There are only so many rooms available at each resort for each discount or promotion. So while Disney may have 1,000 rooms at a resort only 250 of them may be available for booking with the free dining promotion. (DISCLAIMER: This are my made up numbers. I don't know what percentage of rooms Disney actually offers for promotions).

The promotion code you booked under may be different than the current promotion code. I.E. there aren't any rooms left under the old code but there may be under the new code.

What you can do is book a "new" package for free dining. Once you have it booked then cancel your "old" package.

This is correct as there have been many free dining pins sent out through email and regular mail.


OP.....If you booked under the current free dining code that is on the website, you should have no trouble changing to Music since it is available online. If this is the case, call back. If you're told no again, ask to speak with someone in Guest Services as they may be able to help you. But, if you booked under a different code, as ancestry mentioned in above post, there is probably no more availability, which is why you're being told no.

Thank you everyone!!! I just got off the phone with the best cast member , we got it worked out. It was just that the other cast members were using the wrong code to book the new package. She called guest services and got everything done for me. I just saved my Disney trip!!!

Not only can you book your flights through them, for the past year and a half they've actually been CHEAPER than me booking them myself!

Right on the website when you're picking the things you want (it might be at the beginning) you pick Transportation, I believe. Oh, I see you said that - Transportation is where the airfare should be.
