Dont try with annual pass

Just a heads up to passholders who may try a trick we did this past trip. Me and the wife did a kids free weekend trip. Prior to going we decided since we have 4 annual passes and the little ones werent using theirs this trip, that gave use some more fast passes for us to play with and go park hoping. Problem came when we tried to make fast passes for a current upcoming trip and recieved a message that the kids passes were ineligible to make fast passes.

We found out that if the annual pass is not scanned and registered at the park entrance this occurs. Thankfully disney was gracious to us this time and unlocked the kids passes so we can plan our next trip. But a word to the wise I would not try to do this with your annual pass. We were told after the second time disney cancels the pass all together and you are SOL.

Supposabily there is something about this as well inside the booklet that you are given with the annual passes, but I dont remember seeing it.

For some time now, WDW has disallowed FPs for tickets of any kind—not just APs—that are not used to enter the park that day. MDX accounts can be locked for this. It has been a topic of discussion for a while here.

Yes, well known not to do this for quite a long time
Or, I guess maybe not as well known as one would have thought since you tried it.
But don't try it with a park ticket that didn't get used that day either, like for illness or plain old tiredness. Whatever it is, not scanned, don't use the FP

I have wondered if this was still happening, thanks for the data point! You did what we used to call a GLFP. And yeah, starting in June 2017, they made it such that this will get your MDE locked (Fastpass privileged revoked). Sadly. ;-)

That's a good point. It does make me wonder how much people know if they're not checking Disboards regularly. If I had no idea, I guess I might assume it was worth a try (and worst case, it doesn't work). At least I probably wouldn't realize (unless I read all of my T&Cs) that the consequences of trying were going to be so severe.

The OP was circumventing Disney’s Rules and when the TOS was updated in June 2017, discussion of this FP generating and the resulting consequences could not be discussed.
