Don't touch that! I need a picture first! TR - **NEW 04/17 PTR IS UP

I'm just joining your report and got caught up.

I love this Belgium debate! LOL. My mom immigrated from Belgium at 15, so I consider myself an expert! :lmao:

Mayo there is totally different then mayo here. Most people (my mom included) can make it from scratch. Nothing compares. I too am a believer in mayo on fries, been eating them that way since I came out of the womb! :rotfl:

Now the waffles.....my mom used to make them for us every Saturday growing up. Yum! :lovestruc

Looks like you guys are having a great time so far. I love going during the F&W festival!

Well, it's customary to have sour cream on baked potatoes. It's just as good on fries!

Your seminar really sounds rather dull... I had been thinking about wether I want to do any of these seminars on my next trip, but wasn't really convinced that this is the way I want to spend my time at WDW - I think I rather will use the additional time for more time at DTD or at a Water Park. And your experience was rather helpful for me! :goodvibes

Belgian Waffles are very delicious! :cloud9: They should be more compact than your normal waffle, I think they are made with a yeast dough. But Glenn is right, Belgian fries are even better! Belgians are a bit annoyed by the term "french fry" because it was the Belgians, not the French who invented them! And their mayo on the fries is delicious. This one stand in Brussels even had 20 different type of mayos on offer... Generally, Belgians supposedly have amongst the best food in Europe. If you want to eat very well at reasonable prices in a friendly atmosphere (and where people easily understand you when you speak English), go to Brussels. It is a great place!! Some pretty bulidings and delicious chocolate also help quite a bit...

I did some digging in the boards sear engine and came up with one possible pretzel bread supplier:

Bäckerhaus Veit

It looks a real German bakery. Is that close to any of you?

O my goodness, I check out this web site Magdalene and we have those Pretzel rolls in our deli here at work! I have never tried them, I will have to get a sandwich one day this week! I have even seen these at a little local grocery store near our home. I'll have to see if this is the same brand. :goodvibes

I'm surprise you only ended up spending $30 each. That's pretty good. The spanikopita looks good - fried pastry: yummo!

Curious, did you end up finding the pretzel bread in town yet?

Jen, check this out!

I guess pretzel bread is easier to find than we thought. I hope to check some of these out.

That's great! I'm going to pay more attention when I'm out and about in Toronto. Must get pretzel bread mmmmmm

It's nice to find things you love in Disney right at home. Just like those Hi-Chew candies in the Japan pavilion. I love those candies. It was only this year I discovered we sold them around here!

I haven't had the chance yet. There's been some pretty crazy weather so I've just been focused on getting home after work every day. Hopefully I can get to it later this week when the snow clears up a bit.

Yeah, me too. I can't wait to check out the farmers market.

I still can't believe it took you so long to find it here! It's probably because I go to Asian supermarkets a lot.

The weather here is dreadful. It's been snowing a lot in Waterloo. I hope your drives home are nice and safe! The other night I had trouble braking at a red light! It was pretty scary......

I know! I don't understand it myself. Now that the novelty has worn off, I don't buy them by the truckload when I'm in Disney anymore :lmao:

Yikes. Be careful! So glad I got my snow tires on when I did. Already this winter has been ten times worse than last year! Poor Bubba. Of course when she's away in Florida for a year our winter wasn't so bad

There's just too many good things to read and not enough time in the day. If only we could be like Italy where everything closes in the afternoon for a few hours. That would leave for more DIS time! You don't have unlimited internet?

Nope, we don't in the new house, which is where I"m spending the majority of my time now. We should be moved in by mid-January or so, and we won't have unlimited internet here. :scared1: I am mildly freaking out.....

I have a older sister too & that's what they're for, buy us drinks when we can't or couldn't ;).

I'm glad you noticed your camera, that would have been terrible if you didn't

Are you saying that you had a better setup in Crapistan?

Are you saying that you had a better setup in Crapistan?

That's EXACTLY what I"m saying. We found that in MANY "developing" countries the internet and cell phone coverage is like 10 times better than in a lot of rural America. Odd!

Canada and the States actually have the slowest internet and worst cell phone coverage IN THE WORLD. And we pay the most for that too.

I can't imagine not having unlimited internet or (gasp) dial up :faint: Is it just that there's not unlimited internet plan? Or that it's not offered in your area?

Phew. Now I don't feel so guilty :cutie:

Most definitely! My camera is like my second child. My dog is my first :rotfl:

It's pathetic what our coverage is. Canada is (I believe) the worst or second worst place to for cell phone coverage. I can't remember where the best place is but I'm sure you're right Liesa about it being better in developing countries.

Just a head's up.... you made your first appearance in my TR...

the seminar looks like fun! When I was living there we'd go and do the free Sam Adams beer tasting but I guess that is not longer which is a shame but there would be people that would attend every seminar throughout the day!!!

Hi Jen and Yuki !!Today wouldda been our Meet but now we have it to look forward to next month!!!:banana:
