Don't touch that! I need a picture first! TR - **NEW 04/17 PTR IS UP

Sorry for the delay in an update. For those of you whoe followed my PTR, I finally got my dental implant on Wednesday. What a bunch of FUN that was. I asked to be sedated for the procedure because I knew I would freak out. During the procedure was fine - I was all sleepy and drowsy - but AFTER the procedure, oh my goodness, I was totally tripping on whatever drug they gave me. I was seeing double and have no memory of how I got home. Thankfully DBF was there to take care of me and drive me home. I've been in a little bit of pain since the procedure but overall it's been okay. I'm just so happy it's finally over and done with. The greatest news out of all this is that I have enough money to cover the full cost (around $4000 in case you were curious). I've been putting money away since I got my tooth pulled back in March. They only drilled the socket in my gums so I still need to go back to get the actual tooth. Then this whole nightmare will finally be over with! Hope to get an update in this weekend. :thumbsup2

Oh my, that's a lot of money! Try not to think about how many trips to Disney that equals.

Well, glad you're making progress on the whole tooth issue.

ONE (if you're splurging) :rotfl:

Well, glad you're making progress on the whole tooth issue.

Thanks Glenn. I'll be glad when it's all over with.

Oh Jen hope you are okay!!!!

Thanks Rosie. I'm better now but wow that drug they had me on was crazy. It was like I was coming home from a really insane party and I had had a few too many

I love it. I love the Muppets. I can never remember those characters names, but they had great one-liners. (So, did you hit the bar?)
Me neither but they sure are funny! Sometimes they are SO mean in what they say. You gotta have a good sense of humor for those guys.
I think it's Dan and Glenn! :)

Glad you're better Jen! Now, pass some of that stuff to the rest of us........:rotfl2:

Hey you spelled my name right! :faint:

Or are the meds still affecting you?

party: WOOHOO! I did it! I did it! And yes... I secretly stashed some of the good stuff in my pocket....

I think it's Dan and Glenn! :)
Glad you're better Jen! Now, pass some of that stuff to the rest of us........:rotfl2:

No way! One of the guys names is Glenn? I can see the resemblance ;) Darn it Marv. You know I can only deal in limited quantities :lmao:

<In Glenn voice> Wake up you old fart, you're drooling on my shoulder........

At least I got my voice back. :cool2:

<In Statler voice> Marv, you're so old you can't remember what you ah, ah, ....

Zzzzzzz

:rotfl2: I love you guys. Too funny!

I saw on FB you were tripping hard. :lmao: You may need to medicate again when you actually have to write the check.

Hey Jen! I'm here and all caught up. I guess I don't have to go back and finish up what I missed on your PTR since you've started the actual TR. :goodvibes Glad to hear you were able to manage the dental work without having to go in debt for it. I swear that stuff is so expensive. My mom's had several implants, and my dad keeps telling her just to get dentures!:lmao: She has spent well over 10 grand on her teeth. I don't know why dental insurance doesn't cover more :confused3

Good start to the TR. We also felt the walk to OPR was quick and painless. Such a pretty resort. I was reluctant, but I'm glad we tried it out.:thumbsup2

Morning Jen I see the BOYS are at in on your thread too!!!!:scared1::lmao: Hope you are feeling better or maybe how you felt on the drugs was better !!!:rotfl2:We ned to make plans for the 18th !!:banana:Time, places to eat etc !!!! I am all excited !!!!:cloud9::banana:

YES plans for 18th! Jen, would it be possible for me to get a ride with you and Bubba?

Oh my goodness, 4K?????? Can't wait for your update!

My jaw dropped at that price too but you gotta do what you gotta do.

I saw on FB you were tripping hard. :lmao: You may need to medicate again when you actually have to write the check.

:rotfl2: Ain't that the tooth

With that medication, you might not need a trip to Disney.

:lmao: You got that right. I've got the fairies and pixie dust taken care of!

I'm glad you made it Rebecca! I don't understand either why insurance doesn't cover it. My dentist explained it to me that it's because you can fix a missing tooth with cheaper alternatives so their train of thought is "why get a rolls royce when you can get a chev?" I still think it's unfair.

You never know until you try. :goodvibes

Those boys are such trouble makers :sad2: I'm thinking I was much better off ON the drugs than OFF. The pain seems to be at its worst in the mornings. I hope it gets better soon. It hurts to smile so all this laughing I've been doing from everyone's posts is just killing me! Yes, we definitely need to make plans. It'll have to wait until Sunday when I'm not at work.... :rolleyes1 but I'll definitely get back to you on that!

YES plans for 18th! Jen, would it be possible for me to get a ride with you and Bubba?

I'll check with Bubba and let you know. I'm sure it won't be a problem :goodvibes

We got back to our room and grabbed what we needed for our night at Epcot. The plan was to go to Le Cellier for dinner then take a trip to Downtown Disney. Oh, how things never go to plan... but I'll get to that.

We arrived at Epcot within 7 minutes, just before 3pm (gotta love time stamps on pictures!)

It's amazing how close CBR is to Epcot. Did you know there's a back way into Epcot? And that the buses actually take the super LONG way to get there? When you leave CBR, the signs tell you to go left instead of right, which in actuality makes you drive alllllll the way around Epcot. If you go right, there's a secret entrance that Bubba discovered as a cast member. Bubba was good (for the most part of the trip :rolleyes1 ) and took the long way but found it so stupid how they make you drive all the way around the park.

We parked the car and ingrained in our memory the location of where we parked. We didn't want to be one of those people wandered the parking lot aimlessly for the white rental car amongst all the other thousand white cars! We had loads of time before our ADR so I decided now would be a good time to get the gift card for our F&W day tomorrow.

The entrance to Epcot was decorated for F&W. It was so cool to finally be seeing this in real life after only seeing it in other TRs.

Then it was off to the Festival Center! Another giant cake was right by the building

I wasn't entirely sure where to go once inside the building so we wandered aimlessly. We eventually came across a gift shop which had all the gift cards right by the cash register. I got one and put $20 on it. Our spending money for tomorrow :teeth: Then we browsed the wine shop, Bubba's favorite.

We didn't end up getting anything. They had tons of selection with price ranges from $15 to over $100.

After I got the gift card, we decided to head to Soarin' to see if there were any fastpasses left. We checked the signs that tell you the wait times for all the rides on our way over. Soarin' still had fastpasses but for 8 o'clock at night and the wait time was around 60min. Then we checked Test Track. It had a ridiculous wait time as well but had fastpasses left for a decent time at 6:30pm. I was actually surprised how busy it was considering the crowd calendar prediction. If I thought it was busy now, boy, was I in for a surprise later on in the trip... We grabbed a fastpass for Test Track and decided we'd come back to ride it after dinner.

We wanted to do at least one ride before dinner. Can you guess which ride had the least wait time?

The Seas with Nemo! The music in the queue always makes me teary eyed. There's been times when this is one of our last rides on the last day of the trip. I guess the music reminds me of leaving. Can you believe it? I was already thinking about leaving and it was only our first day!

After the ride, we spent a little while looking at the fish tanks and visiting the manatees. The one with his tail half missing always makes me sad. How can boaters be so stupid?! Now that poor manatee can never return to the wild. I guess he's got it pretty good at Disney so it's not all that bad.

It was now going on for 5pm so we decided to start walking over to the Canada pavilion. Bubba was so excited to be eating at Le Cellier again. For some reason, I think she was a little anxious. She was worried there wouldn't be anyone there who would know her and it would just be a regular old meal. How wrong she was.....

We checked in at 5:15pm

And waited just outside the doors for our names to be called. A very nice guy (I forget his name now) escorted us to our table. Bubba didn't know him but she said he seemed nice. Our table was on the right side of the restaurant towards the back corner. Then, it happened..... not 2 minutes after we sat down, one cast member after another cast member, who of course knew Bubba from before, came up to our table to say hi and give hugs to Bubba. Everyone sitting around us kept looking over, wondering what the heck was going on with this girl getting all this attention. It was like I was having dinner with a celebrity! The best was when Bubba's manager came over. Bubba had thought she was already transfered to DLR but apparently that fell through so she ended up staying at Le Cellier. Bubba was over the moon to see her. They talked for about 5 minutes, which I overheard them making plans to get together sometime during the days we were there. All I thought was: "We are NOT deviating from my itinerary!!" :rotfl2: There was another girl who came up to Bubba to invite her to some pyjama party at the residences. All I had to do was look at Bubba and she knew the answer. Bubba politely declined for my sake. Good sister.

After all that hoopla, first order of business was to get wine. I needed to calm my nerves after all that excitement! Bubba got red and I got my usual white. Our server was really nice and so patient. Especially having to deal with all these interruptions of people coming to our table. She didn't know Bubba but quickly realized she was popular around these parts. She brought us everything in pretty good time and even brought mostly pretzel bread on my request :thumbsup2 We each ordered an appetizer: The Tomato Stack

This was light and refreshing. It's really nice to have on a hot Florida day. I scraped off most of the blue cheese and gave it to Bubba. She loves blue cheese but I'm just not a fan. It tastes too sour and looks too moldy for me!

For main course, we both ordered the Mushroom Filet

2cgoocp.jpg

Oh glorious heaven on a plate. This was absolutely delicious. I had forgotten how silky and buttery the risotto was and how tender the meat was. Disney knows how to do food right. I can't go to any restaurant here at home and get the same reaction anymore. Disney, you spoil me!!

Bubba also ordered a side of mushrooms.

Must get some kind of vegetable in there. I only managed to eat about 3/4 of my steak. The dinner size is just too big. Very, very good though! I had to leave room for the best dessert of life....

20j38e8.jpg

Maple Creme Brulee :cloud9: I wanted us to share but Bubba was insistent (and a bit tipsy after two glasses of wine) that we each got one dessert. Okay Bubba whatever you say  She got her favorite, Chocolate Moose

14jujya.jpg

My camera just did not want to focus but you get the idea. Even though Bubba really didn't need it, she got a glass of ice wine. How I missed getting a picture I will never know. She wanted us each to get a glass but I told her there was no way I could drink much more. Reason being is that Bubba also said I should get a Pina Colava to go because she knew I wanted to try it. She is very insistent when she's a bit tipsy and I just go along with it because I'm also feeling a bit happy myself! So before I knew it, here was this huge drink sitting in front of me.

2djb2oj.jpg

It was in a large....hear me out people.....LARGE cup. It's not usually that big! Apparently the bartender made too much but didn't want to waste it so he just dumped it all in a huge cup. Oh boy, I was in way over my head. Let's tally our drinks up shall we? I'd already had one glass of wine, a few sips of ice wine and now had this huge pina colava to drink with already a super full stomach. Bubba had had TWO glasses of wine, most of the ice wine and now she was going to have to help me finish the pina colava. I kept telling Bubba to chug water so she could at least still stand :lmao: Well she wasn't that bad but by the time we left, we were both feeling pretty happy!

It was a great first meal to start off our trip. Bubba left feeling super happy that she had seen people that she knew. I left feeling super full but very satisfied with the whole experience, which took almost 2 full hours!

Oh! What did I think of the pina colava? It was really really yummy! You can't taste the alcohol at all which is so dangerous. I kept asking our server if there was actually alcohol in it

Coming up....

Tipsy Test Track
Did we make it to Downtown Disney?
