My DD is home from college for her winter break. We went to KFC for lunch today. They're running the "Ultimate Gamer's" contest and we got cups with game codes on them. Normally, I would have tossed the cups but I said let's bring them home and see if we win anything.
I enter my code and I'm practically dancing in the street because I won a free 99 cent KFC Snacker. YAY!!!
I tell my DD she should see if she wins something. She's on the other computer and she's grumbling the whole time. "It won't tell me what I won. It's telling me I have to register. This is taking forever...MOM!! I WON A 32" LCD TV AND PLAYSTATION 3 GAME SYSTEM!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Here I'm thinking she's reading it wrong and is "eligible" to win that prize, but nope, there it was "CONGRATULATIONS, YOU WON..."
According to the FAQ's, it's one of 50 first place prizes and is worth $2200.
We're both waiting for the emails that the site says we'll receive within 24 hours about how to claim our winnings. You almost are afraid to get too excited until it comes.
Moral of the story, DO NOT THROW OUT THOSE PRIZE CUPS!!
