After working out the expenditure today I don't think we can get married in 2009. Absolutely gutted.

We are (were) going for an Escape package. We'd planned for around 10 people at SBP with a light lunch at the Gardenview Tea Room (paid for by my dad, bless him) and then dinner at Le Cellier. Once I factored in the dress, flights, hotel rooms etc we are going to be so close on money.

And to add insult to injury it looks like DBF will be looking for work again in March. WE can't reserve with Disney for nearly 12 months anyway so a lot could happen between then and now - you never know what is round the corner.

Oh well, never mind, and extra year won't hurt. You'll all have to put up with me 'living' your journals and weddings!

Hey, don't worry about it - a lot can happen in 12 months. Stick around here, and you'll find a way to make it work out :goodvibes

Chin up. You never know, maybe his "new job" will ba absolutely AWESOME and you will be bumping up the wedding !!!! Hang with us in the mean time !

You may not have the Disney wedding of your dreams but you can get married anytime you like. Have you given thought to a Disney honeymoon? or perhaps an anniversary get together? since you were having only 10 people at your original wedding those same folks may be willing to join you in a special event at Disney, later down the road. Just an idea!

Oh, don't throw in the towel just yet! 2009 could still work out for you! A lot can happen between now and the time you could book it. You never know!!

Awww, thank you.

We can't reserve the date until the end of the year anyway and you're reight, alot can happen between now and then.

We have our heart set on a Disney wedding so don't want to change it to just a honeymoon.

You'll just have to put up with me on here!

I see that your are from the UK, what about doing it at Disney in Paris? your guests could easily take the train, and I see alot of adverts for very reasonably priced holiday packages on Sky TV? it is not like you would be getting married at Butlins!! you still get to have your Disney wedding, only it is closer to home.

i'm not sure disney land paris do weddings, its not on the disney weddings site only florida and california

I am already married and just assumed that since they did it in the states, why wouldn't they do it in Paris?. The mouse very rarely misses an opportunity to make money! and Disney has ardent fans around the world.

Since you are an Essex girl do you ever see Jodie Marsh around? is she as ridiculous as she appears on tv? I did say this was a silly question.

I live right near her!!! So yes I see her quite a bit and yes she is the same here as on tv!!!

I always wondered why Disneyland Paris never did weddings. When I looked into it I was told it is because France is a Catholic country and they are very strict on where they allow civil ceremonies.

WE'RE BACK ON TRACK!!

We've decided to go for it in December 2009 and I've started a PJ. If it works out that we can only afford to us and my parents then that's what we'll do. To be honest that would suit us better!

WE'll know at the end of this year whether we can afford to do it so we can do all the planning until then and decide when we get closer to booking with Disney.

We were going to stay onsite for the 8 days after the wedding so we can always go offsite to kep the costs down. I would much rather not but our wedding is the most important thing.

Watch this space...!
