Don't Pretend I'm the Only Crazy One! - A 2017 PTR

After doing a search in the Pre-Trip Reports and Plans forum (if I did it correctly...) I see that no one has started a PTR for a 2017 trip? I can't be the only crazy/fanatic/impatient one, I just don't believe it.

* You are warned: I really love GIFs. They so effectively portray my moods, way more than an emoji ever could.

Now, things are never guaranteed and two years IS a long time from now wherein many life changing things could possibly happen BUT trips don't happen if you don't plan them. So really no harm, no foul when you start a PTR. If you really want something, you will do everything you can to make it happen (ESPECIALLY when it comes to Disney...at least in my case).

I'll try (TRY people, TRY) to keep updates consistent so this doesn't fall into a dusty,dark corner of the DIS, sad and forgotten.

If you've made here, congrats! You have waded through much to realize you have learned 0% about my trip yet.

Who: (This might change)

Cristabel (me) - 26 years old; Disney junkie and forever fan. I basically work to pay my debts and go to Disney. As of today, I have been to WDW two times: first for my HS graduation and then a solo trip for my college graduation. I have a trip planned for this September with my older sister, D*Bear and her family (PTR here). I'm sarcastic, nostalgic and not afraid of looking silly when I'm at Disney.

Anais - 15 years old; My little sister. She could not be any more different than me. She is left brained and I'm right brained. While my older sister and I have strong analytical/critical/bossy skills, Anais is creative; a talented artist and storyteller. In Friends terms, my older sister and I are more Monica while Anais is definitely a Phoebe. She is very easy going but to the point that it's almost impossible to get a definitive answer or reaction.

Ideally I would like D*Bear to join us but she has toddler to look after and might not be able to come for a variety of reasons.

OK, my September trip is quickly approaching (95 days!) but I still can't keep my potential/hopeful 2017 trip out of my mind!

Thanks to @SimplyGoofy for fueling my trip-planning fire. I have wanted to do a sisters only trip for a couple years now and I just haven't had the finances. I would like to think my job is pretty stable (going on 1 year in July) so I feel it's safe to plan a trip so far in advance.

As I think about it, I really can be flexible with my summer dates because I realized that at the time that I wanted to go, early August, the resort season is still listed as 'Summer' and I can't go any later in September because Anais normally starts school the 3rd Tuesday in August (estimated 8/15)and my mom already said she doesn't want her to come back from vacation the weekend before school and be exhausted. Now, in 2017 there are 5 Tuesdays as opposed to the normal 4 Tuesdays so I'm wondering if that means they will start the 4th Tuesday (8/22). Of course I won't know until next summer/fall. That's why I'm in limbo.

What this all means is that I can go anytime from June 1st to August 5th.

Help?!

I was just doing a search for 2017 PTRs and found this! Excited to see what you are planning and glad I'm not the only crazy one starting to plan this far out. I normally never do but I want to do a lot of things for this trip that I never have and that require money which means LOTS of saving...starting like yesterday

I was surprised to see some activity on this PTR.
I will definitely need to save a lot since I'll be paying for my sister, unless she somehow gets a job but I highly doubt that.

Glad to see there are other crazies out there! LOL!

Too funny- my husband and I are planning a family trip for Jul 29- Aug 5, 2017 at Pop! And no, you're not the only super early, crazy Disney planner- I'm way on board with you! We are also saving for many other things, Disney being one, so I understand the early planning! Good luck, following along, looking forward to your plans!
