Just Curious If anybody booked a room at Beach Club with the Military Discount? Which rooms are included in the Discount?

We booked a CL Standard view with 40% off.

Refrig Update:

They did not arrive today. Hopefully tomorrow. And it could take three-four weeks to get them all done once they arrive. Fifth floor on both sides are finished they said.

I also confirmed with four separate managers that as far as they know rehab will not start until after the first of the year (2014). Yes, it was originally planned for the Fall of 2013 but that is definitely not happening.

On another note, I am going to ask for some prayers for me as I head to se my neurologist Wednesday. Have been having a few episodes and unexplained tremors. I had a minor stroke 2 years ago and I am a little nervous. This is one of the reasons my trip is so important to me, spending as much quality time with my family!!

Hello YC'ers!

I will be staying at the YC in just over 2 weeks, just DH and I. I had booked this a while ago, and then soon after, (unexpectedly) lost my job, so things were up in the air as far as this trip goes until just a couple days ago. I didn't think we'd be able to still go so I pushed it out of my mind. Well, we now ARE going and I have just 2 weeks to get all my research in.

I'm trying to figure out what I want to put in as far as room location requests. I'm looking at the map and it looks like there's no building #s or anything. We have a garden view room. I guess I want to be closest to the walkway to epcot. I also want top floor (are there regular rooms on top floor?). Are there Garden View rooms all throughout or are they limited to a certain side/section? Are there GV rooms facing the front (parking lot, bus stop, etc.) or is that all concrete out there? I'm just trying to get a feel for where we might be and what I should request. Should I just request close to BC? Close to Lobby? TIA!

I emailed IPO at AKL to book a few things for me while I'm there Oct/Nov. I really want to do the 3-D dessert party.. DD and I did this in 2011 and it was awesome, but it doesn't fit into my schedule (probably a good thing!). I need to put a note in my phone of all the booths I want to visit! Weight gain here I come!! At least it's fun and good!!!

Glad to hear that your trip is still on!

There are no regular rooms on the 5th (top) floor- those are all club level. You could request an upper floor (4).

The rooms that look out onto the parking lot and bus stop would be classified as standard view, so you shouldn't get one of those rooms.

The Garden View rooms will be facing something green, like the wedding gazebo courtyard (a popular request) or the back entrance (lakeside) courtyard (which would be close to the lobby/BC area)

Olivia Grace is so cute and when I called my DH to tell him the news I just broke down in tears. When I got the chance to hold the princess I just started talking to her and telling her how special she is.

My sister honored me by giving the baby the middle name of Grace. Long story short we are unable to have children of our own due to some medical reasons, she knew I would have love the name Grace. So my sweet baby sister gave Olivia the middle name Grace.

I am already planning her first trip to WDW

I hope your TA knows that it's by date, not a general exclusion. We have BC and BWI on military discount.

She did call Disney to check. That was my bad. I wasn't thinking it would be excluded by date. It seems like our dates are excluded from everything. Thanks for clarifying.

Hi Everyone!

We just checked in to YC a few hours ago! We are in a Deluxe CL room. Our room number is 4102 and we do have a fridge.

I will post pics (not sure if it will be during our trip). For sure the pics of the Deluxe room that are posted are not what our room looks like (there is not a second bedroom, just a sitting area).

Also, the CL cast member says that supposedly as of 8/2 they will be doing magic bands. This corroborates what others have said.

Hope to pop over to meet Teena while we are here.

That stinks!! We did have to move dates a little and switch resorts for the first part of our stay. It seems like there is a lot less available this year. I hope you find a good deal!
