I did not know that!!!! I love learning new 'stuff'

Hmm I had dinner at Captains Grille and was seated under the second picture and I didn't notice the boats moved either...that could be because seated directly across from me was a very large family... 4 children, 2 grandparents and 2 sets of mom's and dad's... there was so much going on at that table that I was completely entertained for my entire meal! The meal and wine was delicious though, and I'm sure the boats moving was also entertaining!! The waiter was amazing!!! His name was Nick!

Hmmmm... was that button left for us at check-in by Teena a number of years ago? If so, I have one I could try to find too! Meanwhile I will look at the photos from the meet and put a face to the name.

YES!!! That would be the same button!! I'm afraid if I look for the woman with the BIG smile I might start a convo with the wrong woman!!!

I'll also have a BIG smile and I will be sitting in a quiet area of the lounge with a glass of wine in the evening!!!

I'll be there when you check in (working in the lobby). Then Bob, me, Jeanne and Princess Lily check in on the 5th for four nights. So hopefully we'll see you at SAB!

Oh, that's fantastic! It's so cool that so many of us will be there at the same time!

DD and I ate there for our "last meal" :) at Disney Sunday morning. I thought poor DD would be a little bored sitting there staring at the wall, but I pointed out the pretty waves to look at. When she discovered that the boats moved, we realized how perfectly we had been seated! Those boats entertained DD, and we both had such a wonderful breakfast!

Awesome place for a "last meal"!

Re:Magic Bands

Do we all think that as AP holders we'll get to use the Magic Bands for our upcoming December trip?

We have APs and are getting Magic Bands for August. We pick them up at YC. Out of country Guests don't get them mailed.

Anyone else have a hard time keeping up with this thread :surfweb: :lmao: ??? Seems like if I dont review every few hours, I am a couple of pages back already  :rotfl2: .

Well our boarding passes are printed, and we are leaving in the morning !
5 days in Grand Flo, Sugarloaf , and 6 days at our "home" away from home ........BC Deluxe CL.

Wont be able to check into this thread too much while on vacation, so I am guessing that when we get back, there will prob be a new thread started already :rotfl: and I will be lost.

See everyone on the flip side .......... off to WDW .

Hopefully we can get Teena some TastyKakes.........keep getting them at the store, and the kids keep eating them  !!!!

Syndrome

Have a great trip!!

Hi everyone,
a few more quick questions (tomorrow we will be 3 weeks til we depart for BC!) so if anyone could help that would be awesome!

1) What tea does Disney currently use? When I was there last it was Twinings. Hopefully this is still the case, and is is available for breakfast at MP?

2) Does the MP (or somewhere close by) sell cream cheese or would be able to give me the little cream cheeses upon request? My daughter has peanut/tree nut allergies and isn't a huge fan of eggs so I think breakfast is going to be tricky, I figured I could bring some cereal for her and bagels but I would need cream cheese for that lol.

3) Finally...anyone ever have the ricotta pancakes with blueberry compote at Captain's Grille? If so how was it?!

Thanks!!

Can't wait . We will definitely be at SAB

I can't believe I am typing this....

So, I won a contest with a cash prize.:cheer2: Not huge but enough for the following news (DH insisted)...

Dee please add me to the Be Our Guest list
BC - 8/4-8/8:banana::banana::banana:

I can't believe I am going back. But the prize covers the room cost, already have AP's and Southwest flights on my points... I was nervous about going back so soon but DH says "why not" . I gave him a list of reasons and he says... why have an AP if you are not going to use it:confused3 This trip will only cost food OPP and drinks , but with TIW that should not be too bad:woohoo:

:yay: That is fantastic! :woohoo:

Tell me about it!!! I tried to keep up last week while I was gone, but there are several pages I still haven't had time to read.

Have a fantastic trip!!!

I look forward to hearing all about your trip. Sounds fantastic!

Dee, FYI, I tried to PM you and your mailbox is full.
You're so darn popular!

Cleared one spot, and sent you a message that the best way to get in touch with me is by email.

Waiting for Janet's official comment... ;)

The most recent update we have on our Marketplace thread is from 2012 and I just scrolled through but I didn't see pictures specifically of the tea selections or cream cheese, but since they do sell bagels I'm sure they have some, hopefully in the small individual refrigerated containers. Since the Beach Club has villa rooms, I think they would also carry the tubs of cream cheese for those guests and IF you have a refrigerator, that could be an option.

This was the tea selection in the club lounge last week- Not sure what brand that is or if that is an indication of what is sold in the MP:

Could someone check on the availability of cream cheese in the MP and brand of tea sold in the next week or so??? TIA

Phew!!! pages 97-102:

We actually tweaked our trip a bit to take advantage of better airfare deals.

October 31-November 2: AKL CL
November 2-9: BC

Thanks for keeping track of all of us, Dee!

Got it!

:)

Well I did it, we haven't even gone on our trip in Dec yet and I already booked our trip for next year Nov 14-22 for YC CL. Advantages of having AP's!!!!

Love this!!! :goodvibes

We're staying at YC for the first time, next month. We are moving to POR for a part of our trip. I know bell services can transfer our luggage, but what exactly is the protocol at YC? Should we take the bags, ourselves to bell services on the morning we transfer? Do they prefer we call someone to come to the room and pick them up? Is this something we need to arrange in advance or can we just call the morning of?
Not our first trip, but our first split-stay. Just want to be sure we do it right.:goodvibes Thanks for any advice.

:welcome:

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list for August.

:cool1:

I DID IT! After hemming and hawing over pretty much every moderate and deluxe resort, I finally decided and booked my 30th birthday trip with DH and I for 4/4-4/8 at BC. I would prefer to stay at YC but no standard rooms were available for that time frame. I'll still stalk the schedule, but I'm excited that I'm going to stop looking at different resorts over and over and over! :yay:

:welcome:

Sounds like a great birthday celebration!

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list

:woohoo:

So I have been lurking on this thread since we booked our Beach Club stay and decided it was by far time to come out of the shadows and post (Ninja Mom you finally got to me).

We (me, DH, DD 6, DD4) were originally booked at the Beach Club from 10/25 to 11/2 but I just switched out last two days (10/31 -11/2) to Poly CL! I have always wanted to stay at both resorts so this will be the best of both worlds. Even better news is I was able to switch our Cape May breakfast reservation from 11/1 to earlier in the week so we don't have to travel back over the Beach Club once we get to the poly. (So i'm about to cancel an 11/1 8:30 am breakfast reservation if anyone needs it) I am so excited to stay at the beach club and wanted to thank you guys for all the great info and for keeping me entertained while i'm supposed to be working all day. I am really looking forward to being able to hop over to Epcot so easily during F&W and my girls are looking forward to the Pirate Cruise I booked for them!

:welcome:

So glad you introduced yourself! :wave2:

I'll add you to the BOG list

:yay:

we usually take Magical express from the airport. If we decide to do a split stay at two of the wdw resorts, will we have to call a taxi? Thanks

:welcome:

Let us know when you book if you would like to be added to the Be Our Guest list on Page 1 (Post 15)

:goodvibes

Hi Dee,
Welcome back - sounds like you had a wonderful vacation! I plan on starting to read your TR when we get back from our upcoming trip. I have a change to my info on the guest list. We have decided to try out the Beach Club instead of Yacht Club this trip and added 1-night at the Boardwalk prior to our stay at the Beach Club (Jul 27-Aug 3). I am so excited to get to try out 2 new resorts (for us)!

Thank you again for all your work on this thread - it's been so helpful in my planning and deciding!

:)

Awesome!!!

I'll get your info updated on the BOG.

:woohoo:

Hi everyone,

Is anyone there now or recently visited that can give me the details on the BB offer as far as dates, etc? Thanks!:thumbsup2

BAD BAD DISSER!!!

I didn't even open the envelope we received at checkin.

Can anyone picture me biting my tongue and politely listening as Vilma was describing the Beach Club to me???

As far as I know, dates for the BB are still running only through the end of this year. Has anyone seen anything different recently?
