Morning everyone!!!

Today's coffee quiz:

Question 3: There are 4 elevator doors at the Beach Club near the Market Place. What is remarkable about this one, the first one on the right as you face the MP?

This is the elevator that I take to MY room! Humans can't fit. It's one of the perks that fly's get when staying "Deluxe"!

The elevator part makes me laugh too! :rotfl2:

Hubbdave, I hope today is better.

Simba's Girl Target and Walmart were both sold out? Wow! This was the first time I've found disposable ponchos at our Target, but now they have an entire bin of them. Fingers crossed that our MagicBands arrive today with no issues! Why are you getting two sets?

ScottMC, what would we teachers do without large desk drawers in which to hide snacks from our families? Sharing is rough in the summer. :)

After watching the movie "A Christmas Story" I thought that drawer was where the teachers stashed all the "joke teeth" and Yo Yos they stole from the children.

I heard through the grapevine that Teena has once again received the Presidential Volunteer Award for all of the service and time she spends helping out at Jeanne's school in Las Vegas !!!

party:

She was presented with this award by the resort manager, GSOs and several other managers. The award includes a letter and pin from President Obama and also a grant from the Walt Disney Company to Jeanne's school.

:woohoo:

Teena has received this recognition in the past, and there was a guest onsite who captured the moment in photos.

Here is a link to some pictures when Teena was presented by Disney execs with an award from President Obama in May 2011 for helping out so much at Jeanne's school:

You Rock, Teena!!!

Yes, she does rock, especially when she is not chasing you around Storm Along Bay and trying to whack you with a pool noodle! Congrats my love!!

Honored to call her my friend.
:banana::banana::banana:

Me too, especially when she shares those Tastykakes with me....

Yay Teena!

I received one also this year for my countless (actually, I had to count them) hours volunteering on my kid's FB/cheer organization's board. My organization received $1,000 from the Walt Disney Company!

The WDC really is a great place to work!

AWESOME!!!! NOW WE ARE TWO FOR TWO!!! Congrats!!

Signed, Buzzy, the proud of his friends fly

We are on the list for our Yacht Club stay Aug 29 thru Sept 2, but we have moved over to WL CL

Speaking of rain... This is how we managed the poncho issue:

Some of you know that I have an unhealthy obsession with string bags and Ziplocs.

This is how we packed for the Disney parks last week.

We rolled our ponchos into a large (2 or 2 1/2 gallon bag). Any other stuff we brought into the parks, like moleskin, extra memory cards, camera batteries and journals for notes, went into another, smaller plastic bag. We also carried another empty large ziplock to keep everything dry if it rained. We would wear the ponchos and then the string bag and contents would fit into the bag. When it stopped raining, we tried to wring out the ponchos, roll them up and place them back in their bag so they didn't get everything else wet.

It was great going through bag check. We had two clear see-through bags that the checkers didn't even have to open, and someone else carried the deflated string bag in their pocket. Once past that point, the two bags went back into the string bag.

PS- my bag was custom made by DISer Mickeystoontown. She often adds a Mickey Head outline decoration to the bag but I preferred to have mine without one.

PPS- the observant reader may notice that some of these bags are Hefty, not Ziploc. A rose by any other name...

Thanks so much for the shout-out Dee! Like you, we've found that the backsacks/string bags and ziplock bags make it much easier when going through bag check. For our next trip, I think that I'm going to make color coordinated ones for each day. Lacey and I will probably switch them up and "borrow" from one another. ;)

Yay Teena!

:welcome: to the thread, Lisa!!!

My pleasure. The back sacks are really a great accessory for touring the parks and traveling light to other places.

I'm on hold with CRO and listening to "America, spread your golden wings" and then it goes straight into "Yo Ho Yo Ho. A pirates life for me."

Have you ever seen a grown woman go from tears to smiling as big as she can?!?

Cheers to all DISers with Veuve from France!

Ok BC/YC peeps! You are all a bad influence. :lmao:

I just finished my grocery shopping and guess what I bought for the very first time because of all your recommendations! You guessed it! Peanut Butter Tasty Kakes. I love how they put "only 90 calories per kake" on the box.

Who can only eat one? I'm down 2 already. :thumbsup2

Now off to hide them from the rest of the family . . .:rolleyes1

:yay::yay::yay: This is me working off those tastykakes
