Here is an old floor plan of the third floor of the Beach Club. Some of the room numbers and categories may have changed, but the location of the elevators and doors have remained the same.

I'm not exactly sure if you would call this a maze of hallways, but the hallways aren't too confusing.

A room request close to Epcot should put you close to the secret exit, next to room 1501. It is very quiet on the Epcot side of the resort, since there are only rooms and a wooded area over there. The biggest noise will come from people walking in the halls. If you are at the Epcot section you probably won't have to worry about the elevator noise. :)

I hope you enjoy your first BC visit. It is a great resort. :thumbsup2

Thanks so much! This is great and really helps. Are there stairs at the ends of the hallways or are they by the elevators? I don't mind the halls but the kids get jazzed and have a hard time using their inside voices in the halls so I wanted to find a quick way in &out. Thanks again :)

If you're concerned about the hallway, I'd suggest a "close to lobby" request. It's really not that far to Epcot and "close to lobby" does avoid hallways. On the other hand, we've stayed close to Epcot, close to the lobby and lots of places in between. We've enjoyed every one of our rooms and never had any concerns about winding hallways or noise. Each location has its advantages and disadvantages. But that "close to lobby" location is really our favorite.

Thanks so much for the insight! I really appreciate it :)

Sorry another magic band question. It's 29 days till I'm at Disney and I only have 1 day left to customise my band according to the app, but you don't receive the email from Disney till you're 17 days out, I'm confused! Do you think I should just customise them and see what happens??

I am here at Disneyland.

Just received our Mickey mail one month and one day away from our vacation hooray!! The poorly organised programming in theMDE website is still playing us up though...rats why oh why is it taking so long to rectify the issues with it. Surely it should be simple to add your family and tickets with the person booking the stay in control of all the info... Not even going to try the MB scenario when it cannot even get my family members correct darn it. Will not take our UK phone number either. Really looking forward to our stay despite all of these issues.

saw the question from buddythomas about water views/room views and the replies. Could someone post the link to the thread with the samples of room views. It is in one of the first questions in the FAQ post. Thx!

Sounds like you have had some great bus wait times. Is that normal??:confused3
Enjoy your day!:)

Now I know I am officially bus cursed. I waited longer for one bus than you did for all your buses.

I am accustomed to seeing the bus i need pull off as we walk up to each bus stop :wave2:

If you think it's something you would want to do, why not? The worst that's going to happen is that you won't get them. I suspect the long lead times are for shipping.

wlake

Was thinking about you last night because I read about your MDE/FP+/MB letter...LOL
went to bed noting the coincidence that there is a first grade teacher in our school named Mrs. Lake.

Had a dream that our FP+ choices were gone from our stay at SSR after I had a convo with DH last night about how we may be able to "double dip" because SSR is on the back end of our YC stay in August. I was telling him how that would be good because then the girls could go on rides with our niece and nephew too. *I would be ok with this "dream" happening...our "back end" part of the trip is with the rest of the family and it would be better if we could use the legacy FP system on that end and the FP+ when we are there by ourselves. (though if we could double dip...that would be awesome too LOL)

buddythomas...I just saw your post (7:40 am ET Thursday) and have no idea-sorry. LOL!!!

There are stairways next to all the exit doors (fire doors) with the exception of the section of rooms that are closest to the YC end of the resort (near room 3727 on the floor plan I posted). The stairways are very convenient. Our family used the stairways all the time, avoiding the elevators whenever possible. If you look back at that floor plan, you'll see the little black rectangles next to exit doors. Those are the stairways. This is why I like BC better than BW, There are so many ways in and out of the resort. :goodvibes

The one exception is the stairway at the end of the hall closest to YC (next to room 3727 on the third floor). That stairway is only for emergencies. It doesn't lead outside. We had a room in this area once. We had a great view of SAB and the YC, but we had to use the elevator. :sad2:

A question for any current BC/YC residents who have a moment to answer: are CMs visually checking KTTW cards to let people into SAB or are they scanning Magicbands too? Thanks so much!

I know I've asked this before, but anyone stay at BC for PHM and have any thoughts about ease of transportation? I also love Poly and BWI, but I'm most comfortable with BC. So we're likely to choose BC for an event like this, but I want to make sure it's a good fit for PHM.

15 of us (10 adults, 5 kids) stayed at POR but my dad stayed at Shades of Green and used Poly transportation for PHM things. He had the easiest time of all of us, FWIW. The other great part was that he slept until 7 that morning, walked to the end of the driveway, watched us run by at mile 8 (and it was so great to see him there I almost cried), then hopped the monorail and made it to the finish long before we did. Everyone else had to be on the bus by 7:00 to get to Epcot before the roads closed if they wanted to be at the finish to see us. The only reason I'm pushing POR for my family this time is we're not bringing any kids and my mom and her sisters (the four "sheep" who will stay wherever I do) are familiar with POR now and will be better off with a familiar resort, especially now that we're complicating it with Magicbands.

This weekend we have so much going on. Big party for my kids. They are turning 3 &7. How dare I have them 4 years &1 day apart. then it is disney, disney disney. Last minute items.

We have a friend at the YC right now with her family. I can't wait for an update and review. I will pass it along!

Hopefully you will get a UPS/FedEx tracking number. If so, go to the UPS/FedEx website when you get to your room (if not sooner) to see if the package was delivered. The message light on your phone is supposed to be lit up if you have a package at the Convention Center, but mistakes happen and sometimes it isn't lit up.

If you know your package arrived, press the button on the phone which you would press if your message light were lit. Tell them that you are in the room, you have a heavy package at the Convention Center, and you need the package delivered to your room ASAP. Tell them what's in it. Sometimes at some hotels it takes a long time for a package to be brought to your room. In your case, if they know what's in it, it might speed things along. I'm not sure if it will be brought by a Bell Services person or a Convention Center Office person.

As I mentioned, at the BoardWalk there were a bunch of Bell Services guys just standing around the Bell Services desk when I was in the lobby, so I asked one of them to come with me to the Convention Center and bring the cart. But I have never seen a bunch of Bell Services guys just standing around the Bell Services desk at the Beach Club, so I don't know if this would work there.

Thank you SO much for this update. Yes, his food is delivered FedEx and we get a tracking number every shipment. This is much easier than packing two cases of those cans into one or two suitcases and paying the checked baggage fee as well as having to lug them along with everything else. Thank you again! :goodvibes

Oh yes. In line for one of my childhood faves: Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. Did the Matterhorn bobsleds and Buzz so far. Waiting for next FP pull. Space Mountain FP is in my pocket, but have almost 4 hours for that one.

I am so glad you decided to go. No matter how much you got to do, I think you will have made a few hours of delight out of a work trip! :yay:
