Those of us getting them are part of the latest test group -- the requirement seems to be staying at YC in Aug. Haven't heard anything for magic bands beyond that!

We were at YC (not rooms at BC) in June. I saw them bring a guest with food allergies things he could eat more than once. At DL I had a friend who is GF be able to request GF breakfast in the mornings. Not sure how wide range the options would be but I'm sure they would accommodate any food allergies.

What a plethora of information in this thread! Thank you so much for the first page of info, it's really been helpful. I was just gifted 2 nights from a fabulous friend at BCV for the Princess half 2014 and it will be our first time at BCV! Any tips or suggestions for a noob and two 13 year old girls? We're doing a split stay at Pop and this will be the last 2 nights of our trip and we're very excited!

We will be checking into the Beach Club very early, probably around 7am. I know that our room won't be ready, but we will need to check in so that we can get out park tickets.

Anyway, is there anywhere at the Beach Club where I get our Photopass+ activated at the same time or will I have to leave that until we get to the parks?

I had read somewhere (I wish I could remember where now!) that you could turn in the Photopass+ vouchers at Beach Club Marketplace. The voucher doesn't say that though -- it mentions just the parks and DTD. I'm going to ask at the Marketplace anyway. We go before you do so I'll try to remember to post the answer here!

I'll be listening for this info too...our PP+ came in the mail the other day too

Ughhh... my sister was suppose to deliver my new baby niece 3 days ago and we are still waiting. It is killing me because I am so looking forward to meeting this little princess. I keep buying her stuff on the the disney store online

My schedule for August is crazy because of Jeanne and Lily being here and then me going there. So, here it is:

Hope I still get to meet everybody that is going to be there in August!!! Look for Princess Lily and family at SAB on August 5, 6, 7 and 8th!!

THanks Teena! That helps a ton. Yes you know I love my renovations! I will assume that the BC GV CL rooms remain as is in terms of quantity (very few and I could get stuck with a handicap room..). the rooms they are losing to expand the lounge must be standard view so that won't affect the GV count. I will keep an eye on the updates but may plan on CL afterall IF IF IF they have gluten free things for DD. It won't be worth it for us if they don't. Would hate us all eating yummy things while she can't...Thanks Teena!

Many pages back, you and another poster were talking about the Taylor Swift concert and some kind of discount on merchandise. I didn't really pay attention at the time, but just found out my best friend is taking her son to tomorrow night's concert.

Can you repeat the info for me?

I will be there on the 18th and 19th so I will totally skulk over from the dark side to see you on one of those days, Teena, if our friends don't have us killed with their savage park touring schedule!!! LOL!! Soooo different from the last family we travelled with. We'll see which one works better! LOL I'm hoping to have time to give live TRs and will absolutely do a long TR upon our return. I still look at our old one to relive the last trip!

I'm nervous about weather, especially a hurricane affecting our trip out to meet our DD in Toronto (who will be flying in from out west where she is visiting my sister.) I have tons of close friends in Toronto who would rescue her if needed and she was stranded in the airport but I'm trying not to think of that. If we are all together and get delayed, etc. that's OK. Oh well, worry is such a waste of energy!

Doing some touring plans for a friend who is going on a last minute trip on August 5th! She booked today!

Our mousekeeper Stella provided us with a lot of towel animals and creations during our 4 night stay at the Beach Club- a Mickey head, of course, swans, a monkey, and a heart.

My favorite was the toothbrush holder- pretty and practical!



We did not receive the infamous "mushroom"

But one animal did cause some debate amongst my family members:





We came up with 4 different answers about what this is.

What tea does Disney currently use? When I was there last it was Twinings. Hopefully this is still the case, and is is available for breakfast at MP?

We have our first trip to the BC the starting Sept 14 - only 51 days away!

But a quick question - there aren't refrigerators in every room? I was really counting on having a refrigerator...

ETA - I just read further and see they are being swapped out. Hopefully they'll be all set when we get there. This thread is a wealth of info thanks!

Another question now - I see a lot of people are getting magic bands. Do you think we can get them for our September trip??

I think your questions were answered in subsequent posts-

Some of the room refrigerators throughout the entire Disney property are being switched out due to safety concerns. Exact timetable is unclear, but guests to the BC & YC will continue to post their experience in the next few weeks.

Magic Bands are being tested by a select group of YC guests in August.
