Wondered if anyone can help, I've been looking into how to get to DC from YC. I read the lynx 50 goes from TTC every half an hour but how can we get to TTC? I checked Epcot's opening hours because I thought we could maybe get the monorail but Epcot doesn't open till 9am and we'd like to be at DC before then. If we get a bus to MK is TTC close enough to walk?

I don't really know anything about the Lynx bus, but the trip from YC to TTC to DC but it sounds like a lengthy and inconvenient trip. You can't walk to the TTC from MK- you can take a monorail, but that just adds another step to the trip.

How many people are going? Have you priced out a taxi? It is probably pricey, but may be worth it.

According to this, it would be around $25 plus tip each way.

I don't know the number but there is a Lynx bus stop over by the Swan / Dolphin . It's right by the crosswalk to Fantasia mini-golf. I always see a lot of CM's using it.

Wow, what a horrible thing to happen, I'm glad you are alright despite the injuries you have. You are so lucky that it wasn't more serious. Hopefully the the police do charge him with something, he deerve to have his license taken away for awhile.
I hope you heal quickly and sitting by the pool would most definitely help

I think you absolutely deserve/need a vacation now more than ever.

I am always shaking my head when I see people doing all sorts of ridiculous things while driving. I tend to drive and listen to the radio

Couchy, I'm so sorry to hear about your accident. That sounds awful and very painful. I'm glad that to hear that you feel well enough to hobble to a chair at SAB. But I think it is a good possibility that you will feel worse in the next few days, when your body starts to heal itself.

That was nice of your DH to book a return trip at the end of Oct. The Halloween decorations will be up and you'll have plenty of energy for Food and Wine then. In the meantime, let DH wait on you and get plenty of rest.

Fortunately the pups were in front of me and the guy turned into my side/backside. Sad for your friend. People need to pay attention. Life is more important than a text

DH is all over the police. They are going to charge him with something, they are just figuring out what that charge will be. My DH has given them some ideas

My BFF's doctor Husband came over a little bit ago. He told my DH that I am good enough shape to fly. He said if I wanted to do a quiet trip and sit my the pool or float in a tube I would be ok. He said I could even walk a bit, his restrictions were - no rides with spins, sharp turns, shaking, and high speeds.
He even told my DH that NFL players often play with broken ribs and such.. not that he recommends that
My conversation to DH was
" I can still do ISASW, people mover, train, Mexico boat ride, animation academy and SAB, SAB, SAB...."

I can be on a plane in 11 hours if he agrees.... not so optimistically hopeful here but maybe???

I was hit by a car while walking my dogs today. Me and the pups were quietly minding our own business and crossing the street in the crosswalk with the signal when a car came roaring down the street and turned right, right into me
I am resting comfortably in my hospital bed in my highly fashionable hospital gown. I have 2 broken ribs, multiple gashes and abrasions, and a deep bone bruise on my femur. The puppies are thankfully fine, but DH called and cancelled our reservation

We did reschedule 10/31-11/3 BC GV but I am still so disappointed. I was so looking forward to this trip. Oh well, it was one of those days...

I will now start planning for our Food and Wine trip

(I really blurted out something else instead.) That's absolutely terrible! I wish you & the pups a very speedy recovery. I wish I could wave my magic wand & make a Sunken Treasure appear on your hospital tray. I hear the pain meds work better that way. Sorry, I'm a bad, really bad influence.

Must remember not to skip a day of this thread.....Soooo much happens when I'm gone!! I am all caught up again and glad that Couchy is feeling better and may get to SAB yet!

We have to get through a slumber party with (6) 6th grade boys this weekend, a 'lalaloopsy' birthday party for (7) 3rd grade girls next weekend (this is what we get for having both our children in August ), a friends wedding on the 24th and kids starting back to school on the 26th and then we will be in full on count down for our trip on Sept 14th!

Hoping we'll get to try out the Magic Bands! We are also doing MNSSHP and DH and I will be doing the Keys to the Kingdom tour which we are both really excited about!!

Look forward to updates from everyone there now and those leaving soon!

Here is the update... guy was texting and receiving texts at the time of the accident DH is pushing the police hard to charge the guy with something(distracted or reckless driving that caused harm ). I am fairly upset as I had planned on sitting at SAB today and I am here instead

Injury update: pretty good all in all... the 2 ribs are only hairline fractures and I have not filled the pain med prescription and just took 2 Tylenol this morning and have not had anymore

...

So sorry this happened to you. Glad to hear you that your pups are OK. Hope you have a speedy recovery.
