We did the meet and greet at Epcot and it was great. Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy were there. We didn't even have to wait and they let all 7 of us go back. The picture turned out really cute so I had to buy a Mickey frame to put it in. The kids were very excited. Between this and Chef Mickey's we didn't have to stand and wait for any of the main characters. Saved a lot of time.

How do you get information on this? I have the Disney Visa- is there a special spot you go to and just show them your Visa card? Or is it something you need to get prior to going? Thanks, Dani

WOW, that sounds great. I have questions, Did you just need your Disney VIsa or did you need a special invitation? Did they say how long they plan on doing it and where exactly was it? Thanks, and I bet your picture looks great in the frame!!! :cool1:

I am so glad to hear that, I can't wait to do this in September!

And did they let you have a "big group" shot with Mickey, Minnie and Goofy or could you only get your picture taken with just one of them at a time?

I would love it if they let us get a group shot!

This is the first post I've seen from someone who has been! Glad it is working out so great. I know there is info on the disney visa site under special offers and inserts have come in my statements and the newsletter. Would love to hear your answers to the specific questions that have been asked.

I'm so glad to hear that everyone's been saying there's never a wait. I leave in 9 days and I'm excited to do this with my family. I'm glad I signed up for Disney Visa a few months ago, I'm really liking some of these extra perks. Even though we're all a bunch of "older kids" I know we're going to have fun. It just might take awhile to find a picture that all 6 of us like!

The Disney meet and greet is at Inovations West. It was a little hard to find but we just asked the first cast member we found and they showed us. You just need to show your card. They write down the last four numbers on your coupon for your free picture. It is from 1:30-4:30 everyday.

Yes, you can take a whole group shot. We did. They took a number of pictures and even took ones of our group with our camera. I did not feel rushed at all. They took their time taking the pictures and let us have time to take ours.

I'm not exactly sure how long they are doing it. I thought I heard Jan. but I may be wrong.

Hope everyone gets to see it. The kids had a great time.

We did it also, they took our picture with the whole group. We had Mickey and Pluto in the room. It was neat because we had our 3 month old with us and Mickey and Pluto just hammed it up. They started kneeling by the stroller and the photographer started snapping while we were standing around. It was alot of fun. The baby also got her picture with Minnie as we entered Epcot, so we had lots of pics that day.

Thanks for the info, so you only need your VISA to get in, but need the coupon for the free photo.

Where do you get the coupon? I don't want to be disappointed when I get down there because I didn't bring the right stuff.

I showed my Visa card to the CM at the door and he filled in the last four numbers from my card on a sheet. He then gave me a coupon for the free 5x7.

You guys just made my day- I love free stuff and honestly hated when Disney stopped the Magic Kingdom club with the 10% discount to replace it with a card that doesn't seem to be as good with benefits. At least I am getting something out of it!!!

In yesterday's mail, I received a little package from Disney Visa. It had little coupon books for WDW and Disneyland with the "perks" that are available to Disney Visa cardholders.

I must be having a Goofy day, but I can't find this info on the website. I was glad to see this thread because I'd love to find out what all the VISA benefits are or will be when we are there. Can someone lead me through the website?

Thanks!!

Can you use this benefit more than once during a year? If I go in September will I be able to get another one in January?

Another benefit from the Visa is a discount at the World of Disney store at DD. You get 10% off your purchase. The first time I bought something I used the card because I thought you had to to get the discount. The next time I only had to show it to get the discount. I think you had to buy over $25 worth.

Sounds like you got lucky and got a CM that did not know how it works. As I have the Disney Visa coupon in my hand and it says~

Must use a Disney Visa Card and or Disney Rewards Card as form of payment and mention this offer to receive discount. $25 minimum pre-tax single transaction purchase is required to recevie discount.

I would love it if they just let us show our Disney Visa card to get the discount and then just be able to pay with Disney Dollars, cash, etc. But from this info. I don't think it will happen.

Sure - login to your account through the www.chase.com or www.bankone.com website (I think they both lead to the same place now). If you haven't set up your account for online access, you'll need to go through the steps for that.

Once logged into your account, scroll down the "Account Summary" page to the "Offers" section. Click the drop-down menu and select "for Credit Card" and hit the "go" button. It will take you to a general page showing all of the different categories of special offers (Disneyland, Disney Merchandise, Walt Disney World, etc.). Click on the "Walt Disney World Resort" link, and it will show you the current offers - one of them being the Character Meet 'n Greet.

Hope this helps!
