Spent a wonderful 9 days at Disney last week. Almost went back to the room the first day as AK entrance truly seemed like a zoo. Entry lines were way past ticket booth. Took us almost 25 minutes to get in (after security check).

I think new tickets and finger scanner had many people confused (and not matching) as well as stupid people who I heard thought a Disney room included park admission.

We stayed on line as the kids were upset that I wanted to leave. After getting in, we checked the tips board and were shocked to see Kali was a 5 minute wait (truly less when we got there). That was true for everything.

So I guess, be patience with the lines outside, inside is better

When going to the AK you can enter the park through the Rainforest gift shop. We did this on two mornings a couple of weeks ago and it worked great! Only a handful of people waiting instead of the mob scene that is always at the AK gates. Remember--you heard it on the DIS!

You would be surprised at how many people don't know what they bought.

This is so true! Remember the parks are big and once all those people get in they disperse all over. Many a time at WDW parks and Disneyland I have gotten a sinking feeling when I get to the gate only to find minimal crowds once we get in. In reverse order, sometimes we have seen barely any crowds at the gate or even on Main Street, then get back into the park and are amazed at the waits and crowds!

Thanks for the post! And I like the tip re: the entrance too!!!!! :wave2:

You wouldn't believe how many people make that costly mistake. :confused3 :confused3

What do you mean park admission is not included with my room? Only kidding.
