I just love that most hotel rooms in America now come equipped with a small coffee maker. I am never quite sure, however, about the quality of the brew provided.
Before a recent trip to Orlando, I purchased a package of the small flat bottomed filters that fit into the coffee makers in the hotels. When I travel, I grind enough coffee for the small pots in the hotel rooms and place it in a ziploc sandwich bag--one bag for each day of my trip. I then put them into another ziploc with one filter for each day.
I usually try to buy enough bottled water to make coffee with when I make my grocery stop. After I have enjoyed my coffee, I put the used filter with the coffee grounds into the ziploc--that way, housekeeping does not have any more to do with the coffee pot than if I had used the filter pak provided.
I just love my morning coffee.
