I had to jump in, too, and I probably spend more time at WDW than Uni (at least outside of October).

It's interesting, the "trashiest" crowds I've seen--and the worst food and worst parking situation--are at Sea World. (No flames please, some of my best friends work there, and I have an AP, but I call 'em like I see 'em.) Yet no one ever compares WDW to SW. Perhaps it's not enough of a competitor to justify paying their on-line agents provocatuer to post about it.

I really appreciated the back up information and links to posts....simply put, it was someone who went in without a clue and still had their pixie dust glasses on looking for something to complain about!!

What is the difference between those on the disney board flaming/trashing USO, and those here on the USO board doing the same to disney?

The difference is that since I joined the Disboards I've never read a thread about USP poeple trashing /flaming on the Disney boards.I'm not saying it does'nt happen (just that the fact that I've never come across one says a lot); but I'm more than tired of things the other way around. And I'm a Disney fan, but that does'nt mean that I don't like USO or that I have to trash people on any of the other boards.

I've been on these boards under this user name and a previous name for 4 years and I haven't noticed anyone trashing Disney. I have read rebuttals to those who trash US and IOA or the Universal resorts. Never have I seen a thread that begins,"If you're considering going to WDW don't because its_____" fill in the blank or Disney is dirty and trashy people go there.

I never see Disney being trashed here. Some particular things might be criticized but I've never seen the meanness here that I see in that other thread.

I wouldn't like it if Disney was trashed either. I like both places personally.

Yep, WMPete posted his thoughts and I think that he just wants everyone to tone it down. He likes Universal so he's not being biased or anything IMO.

i agree and stated in my post on "the other thread". It seems to me that UO peeps love Disney too and tell Disney peeps that "UO is not Disney...do not try to compare them"...but Disney peeps don't heed that advice....

the Disney "bashing" threads are always "nice", like "worst thing you've seen" or something along those lines. when someone has something negative to say about UO, they ARE really mean about it (and usually have those bad experiences due to not doing any homework prior to trip)

I just find those threads so exasperating anymore.

Why does anyone need to compare the two at all?

We've seen our share of good and bad at both WDW and USF.

Do we still go to both? Of course ...

We just go to USF a lot more often!

We prefer Universal/IOA to disney, but i never posted some of the "nasty" things we saw during food and wine during our October visit. I am not a hypocrite (another name calling from someone up a few posts) and I am certainly not a Uniphile. I am a Universal/IOA fan!
