Dont know if this can even be done!!

Ok guys i dont even know if there is a way to do this. First off my fiance and i will be getting married May 14th 2011. I purposed to her in Disney under the fireworks this past april. We will be spending our honeymoon down there May ** through the **. We are DVC members and bought into AKL but for our honeymoon we want to stay at BWV Boardwalk View. (Yes i know buy where you want to stay but boardwalk is only till 2042 and with the AKL promotion i got 8 non expiring annual passes with my purchase so if i plan it right i wont need tickets for 8-16 years thats a huge saving for us plus we get till 2057) But i digress to my problem. So i have my ressie at AKL for our honeymoon and cant book BWV till my 7 month window. Can i book through or trade with another DVC'er who has there home resort BWV so that i can book before my 7 month window. I have plenty points and dont know if you can even trade. Any options or suggestions would help. My only concern is i want BWV Boardwalk view for my honeymoon and im afraid availablitly will be gone at my 7 month window. You can not directly trade points because you are both limited to one transfer in OR out per use year.

You can each make a reservation for the other using your points. Or the other person can make a reservation for you, like a rental transaction, and you can transfer points to their account as payment.

What you can do is post a Trade Wanted post on the Rent/Trade forum, but you can not offer an existing reservation in exchange until 30 days out. You can offer points (ie making a new reservation for them) or a transfer.

In truth, I think you'll have luck booking at BWV at 7 months for that time frame, as most schools are still in session.

Like chuck said, if you hop over to the rent/trade board there might be some one who are interested in getting AKV concierge or something. Those things are hard to get.

But even if you couldn't find a trade, just call right at 7mo and waitlist if necessary. And keep on checking for your dates. I've heard that people get ressie for some of their WL-ed dates by checking every now and then.

I agree with Chuck. I've stayed at BWV in May for the last three years and have not had a problem getting Boardwalk view at 7 months.
