What do you all do to prevent or relieve stress?
 
Life's every day stress- I vent to my DH and one of my good friends.

Major stress where I feel like I am going to drown- I drive to the beach and sit there and listen and watch the ocean. Nothing releives stress for me than the ocean. I can feel it lifting off me.
 
Ooooooooooooooo.. Definitely the WRONG night to be asking me that!! :mad: DD spoke to the wicked stepmother of "the" family awhile ago and all I can say is......................

I am going to KILL someone before all of this is over..........

That is how I'm going to relieve my stress..:mad:

Did you know that stressed spelled backwards is desserts? Any one think there is a big connection to that and stress eating??

Constructive:

1. Pray/meditate on scripture, etc.
2. Exercise
3. Get adequate sleep
4. Healthy eating
5. Conversation with spouse
6. Relaxing activity like reading, listening to music, going for a drive, etc.

Destructive:

1. Bash myself
2. Cease prayer, etc.
3. Eat
4. "Escape" via some obsessive mental activity
5. "Escape" via the 'Net
6. Push my spouse away or try to pick a fight with him for no reason.
 
I try not to stress too much about anything.

I am pretty even tempered, it takes a lot to get me stressed out and angry.

yoga
massage
water
healthy diet
walk
say no to more social activity
get organized
live simply
turn off the TV
get off the computer
play with my child
 
I don't prevent it but I go to WDW to relieve it..:teeth: :teeth:
 
I stayed up last night doing something that relieves stress for me. Listening to music and dancing and singing as loud as I want. :)
Anymore ideas? I think I'll write them down.
 
DH and I have "quality" time and that helps. The other thing I do is DIS and talk to DH.

When it is really big and I need to clear my head; I tell DH to take me away for a week. If it invovles him, I tell him I am leaving for a week and then he freaks out and apologizes for whatever.

He couldn't handle things if I left!;)

I don't try to relieve it.

I actually think that if I didn't have any stress I wouldn't have a pulse anymore ;)
 
Play with the animals, talk to my fi while he rubs my head, work out and of course take my meds. he he:tongue:
