to make you a towel animal.
On the first day I left her $3 (there were 3 of us in the room) and a tootsie roll sucker bouquet and Nothing Not a thank you ....
So the 2nd day I left her a note with her treat and asked her if she knew how to make a towel animal.
Well for the next 6 days When we would return at the end of the day Our window was redesigned with my daughters new stuffed friends AND there was always a different towel animal

We would start guessing what she would do next. It was a cute touch at the end of each day
So dont hesitate
Ask!!
Have a magical disney day

Aww I wish I knew that before I left!
We left a tip every day as well but never a towel animal to be seen!
Now I know for next time that it couldn't hurt to ask!

We didn't get towel animals on our stay either. I didn't expect it, but was kind of hoping for them. I will definitely keep this in mind.

I guess we were very lucky during our last trip. We were there for 15 days and had 2 rooms. Every day each room had a least 1 towel animal. Some days 2.

After leaving three tips with no extra magic, I requested towel animals on the tip envelope for the rest of my stay. Still nothing. I think it just depends on who your Mousekeeper is and how busy they are. Maybe I'll get one on my next trip. You'd think at AKL, of all places, you would get at least one towel animal!

I wonder if when they are trained, they have towel animal classes? Or is it a skill that they pick up on their own.

Does it matter if you're in a value vs. a deluxe resort as to getting the towel animals? We're staying at POP but would love to have towel animals to thrill our girls. Any thoughts?

We've gotten towel animals at ASMovies and POR, but never at WL. It didn't bother me not to get them but it was a nice touch when we did.

Could it be it only takes us asking our Mousekeeper nicely??? Imagine that. Ofcourse, tipping/gifts along with that doesn't hurt either.

I've been told that all mousekeepers do not know how to make them. I really don't know about this but that's what i heard

Just got back from the World: was there for 14 nights, only on three of those nights was anything special done with the room and small fuzzy animals left on the bed.
It all depends on who is making up what rooms.
As for asking, on the last trip I could not find a housekeeping staff member that spoke English and my Spanish is pretty bad. Granted I did not look to far for anyone, just spoke to anyone on my floor of the building.
Also did not even get the sheet changed, but did get lots and lots of extra towels, which I did not ask for nor did I need. (Eight extra towels by the time I left the resort, still folded up and placed on the rack about the clothes hangers).
Best to call house keeping on the telephone and inquire if someone will do something special.

The best mousekeeper I ever had was on our very first trip at Dixie Landings (POR) - She left my Mom and I both a very nice Disney frame on our last day. We tipped every day and left her a piece of candy. Each of our subsequent trips were at Deluxe resorts and we've never had such a nice mousekeeper again.

We had the nicest mousekeeper for our latest trip tp POFQ! The second day we were there we came back mid-day to find our room nicely made, no towel animal but we didn't mind. I had gone to get something from the food court and met a mousekeeper and we exchanged hellos. We were lounging around watching TV and someone knocks on the door, it was the same mousekeeper I said hello to holding up two towel animals for us!! What a nice surprise!

The best "mousekeeper" interaction we've ever had was at AKL last year. We were there for 4 nights and the 3 days the room got clean, we came back to fun stuff!

Here was the first day, wearing my dd's pjs

And the 3rd day I didn't get a pic off because it wasn't a towel animal per say, she had just "redesigned" the room and did everything "opposite" of what is usually done... hard to explain!

I have always left a note on my Mousekeeping envelope "Towel Animal Please" ...I have always gotten my request!
Sometimes they just don't know how much we love them!
