Don't get these codes!

I just called to check some dates/rates and here is what I was told, but I know I am missing a few pieces to the puzzle.

I am going to be in Orlando from Nov 15th-28th, but only needed a hotel stay either Nov 15th-17th or Nov 24th-28th (but since 24th is high season I was thinking of doing Nov 25th-28th.

I asked the CM aobut the ZQG code and he said that it was a minimum of 5 nights stay and asked about AAA and it is 94 a night for a value or 140 for a moderate and of course then there is tax. This seemed a bit pricey I thought for a room only rate with a code.

I don't have an AP or Disney Visa.

Any advice/help?

Ok, I am no expert, but here is what I am thinking. For 2007 I think they still have it, so that room prices vary by season, not by individual dates.

So, if you are going Nov 15-17 it puts you into regular season and the prices for standard room per night are as following:

Value - $99 +tax
Moderate - 165 +tax

With AAA discount

Value - $84.15 +tax (15% discount)
Moderate - $140.25 +tax (15% discount)

Now if you go Nov 25-28, that puts you in value season and the prices for standard room per night are as following:

Value - $82 +tax
Moderate - 145 +tax

With AAA discount

Value - $65.60 +tax (20% discount)
Moderate - $116 +tax (20% discount)

This is what it should be, whether it works or not, depends on whether there is availability for standard rooms with AAA discount.

If I were you, I would call back and see if the numbers and dates they are offering you are close to what you think they should be.

Good luck:)

I saw on Mousesavers the Fall codes (i.e. ZQH or ZQD) if we want the dining plan. But, if we are AAA is there a different code? My AAA TA called and got worse rates than I got calling Dis directly and just using the ZQ codes. Is there a code to somehow use Fall codes and AAA? Or do you have to choose one or the other? Thanks.

That's what I figured. The Fall rates are probably better than the AAA only. Yay for Fall rates.

Thanks again.

I had booked a AAA package a week ago today, and it was 200 less than Disney price [incuding dining package] then when the codes came out I called AAA yesterday and told them to call Disney and put it under the code instead, they did and saved me another almost $400 over the AAA price.

I also had my AAA TA call and check and she got me an extra $115 off our package at POFQ, 6 nights, 6 day hopper with dining

Not a lot of money but a couple bottles of wine! Also makes me happy that the AAA rates are pretty good to start with.

good luck with the codes everyone!

If you used a code discount then you were switched from the AAA rate to the code rate. Discounts cannot be combined.

Does anyone know if there is a 5 night minumum with the packages to get the cheaper rates?

Jenn

I have the Visa ZQM package and we are only staying 4 nights. I thought I had read on a previous thread that there ws a 3 night minimum.
