Last Halloween party this year is Oct 31, so you have to be there by that date. First MVMCP this year is Nov 8, so you can't leave until midnight of the 8th if you want to see them both.

I am going in Sept and then again in Dec to see them both. But If you can only do one trip I would go 10/30-11/9

10/30 thru 11/9 would get my vote if you can do it! There is actually a long time between parties this year - in the last it has been fewer days - I believe less than a week! It incredible to see the MK transform essentially overnight!! You actually get to see MK Halloween, MK plain!, and then MK Christmas!

Christmas takes a while to get into full swing and it does not go up in Epcot until after Food and Wine, so you won’t see that if you go those dates.

The countries at Christmas are one of my faves so it’s hard to recommend skipping out on that but it’s the best option for 1 trip. Just make sure to buy your Halloween party ticket before they sell out.

DHS also puts Christmas decorations up right after Halloween, and you will hear Xmas music playing in the park in early November.

We did both parties in 2012. The last Halloween party was 11/2, and the first Xmas party was 11/9. We had already planned to 11/9 Xmas party as part of our itinerary, while 11/2 was our arrival day. Once we realized it was a party night, we moved our flight to earlier in the day, and did the Halloween party, too!

As stated previously, this year the spread is 8 days (instead of the 7 days in 2012), so still definitely doable!
