I thought it was 2 - 3 only if the 3rd was in a pack and play. Maybe that's just the values though...

Wasn't sure since I know sometimes it is 2 adults but 1 child with own provided bedding but wasn't sure how it was worded. Either way the answer is eveyone has to be on the reservarion if they are sleeping in the room or staying over night.

That much I knew.

How do I do this - when I try to buy our tickets it all links to our reservation - do I just by his ticket seprately

I don't know your dates, but I found the CR garden wing available from April 9 - 12 for $490 per night. Then the Dolphin is available from April 12 - 16 for $174 per night.

You might do a split stay. Switch up your current reservation for the CR and then book the Dolphin. Probably more pricey, but doable, if Disney will let you change it.

the only night not available at the Dolphin is the 11th. So if you can get a reservation at Disney that covers that date, the rest of the week could be at the Dolphin. Even with the resort fee $174 isn't too bad. (approx $210)

I would book the Dolphin first then call WDW about the other. You still have time later tonight to cancel the Dolphin for a refund if the WDW falls through. Or try some other split stay that might be available.

We can't tell you anything other than call Disney and have him added to your room reservation. As pointed out early it is against board rules to ask for or give information on how to break Disney's rules so you aren't going to get any other help the call Disney.

OP, you're going to have to find somewhere else to stay that will accommodate your group. It's not just "frowned upon," Disney does not allow you to exceed a room's occupancy limits.

And as several posters have noted, the DISboards doesn't allow discussion of ways to break Disney's rules.
