DON'T CRY OR WE'LL RIDE DINOSAUR AGAIN! A Spring Break TR---Final Thoughts 5/5

After enjoying our breakfast and wandering around the Poly for a little while, it was time to head back over to Magic Kingdom. Being in the noon hour, it was a little more crowded than it had been that morning! :scared1:

We headed back to Frontierland because the kids wanted to go Tom Sawyer’s Island. I hadn’t been there in probably eight years, so I’d forgotten what an exhausting place it is! I now feel compelled not to go back there for another eight years! ;)

Walking one of the rope bridges, I did get this shot of somewhere we were headed back to-

After returning from the island, we headed over to Big Thunder Mtn. Reese and Rachel rode together.

We decided to make our way toward Fantasyland. Unfortunately we got stuck in parade traffic. I got to see bits and pieces of it as we weaved our way through the crowds along the water. I will try to watch all of this parade when we’re there in May.

We stopped to do some shopping and get some pixie dust sprinkled in Meg’s hair, which she didn’t like. :sad2: This prompted a meltdown, and we had to quickly ask her if she wanted to ride that Dinosaur ride. :rotfl: As we waited for my sister to finish her shopping, I took some pictures.

We were headed over to Tomorrowland to ride Space. By now, the sun had come out and the day was actually very warm---probably in the low to mid 80’s that afternoon. As we passed by Pooh’s place, I saw one of the more interesting wardrobe choices for the day.

Don’t have very many pictures of the rest of the afternoon. I think we grabbed some dinner at Cosmic Ray’s.

On our way out of the park, a few pictures---

Tomorrow would be a full and long day (maybe too long for Megsters) at Epcot. :rolleyes1

Am I bad? We've NEVER been to Tom Sawyer's Island--not even when the boys were young. :scared1:

Love these pictures. :)

Love all these pictures! I especially love when you threw in the "interesting wardrobe" shot! I feel like I need to try Tom Sawyer Island again. I can't remember the last time I went over there.

Thanks, Susan.

I never cease to be amazed by some of the wardrobes I see when I'm in Disney World! It's like, "Come on people, What were you thinking?" I know you saw my overall shorts on my PTR, but this is much more strange, don't you think? ;) Of course, now I'm thinking, "I wonder if anyone took my picture and posted it on their TR back in 2001, to point me out for public ridicule." :lmao:

Trust me, Susan, if you can't remember the last time you went over to TS island, that's a good thing! :thumbsup2

Wow - I was planning on a very similar outfit for our big DIS meet on the 5th, but I guess since it's already been done so well by someone else I'll have to come up with something different.....

:lmao:

I love Tom Sawyer's Island! But, when we went last time, we had the boys hang out in each area for a while before moving on. It was so relaxing to just sit at the fort and let the boys run around.

Love, love, LOVE your MK pictures!!! (Esp the wardrobe choice :rotfl:) Sorry to hear that Meg wasn't a fan of pixie dust. We didn't make it over to TSI last year, but DH wants to check it out this year. We'll see... :rolleyes1

I thought about Tom Sawyers Island for our trip in June, since the last time was 25 years ago. Then you mentioned the rope bridge, and I remembered why we have not been back. I do not like swinging bridges.

I loved your pictures and look forward to Epcot. I sounds like Meg had to be reminded of the Dinosaur ride again.

I just don't get why someone who loves her doesn't help her out a little, ya know??? :confused3

Por Meg's gonna have a rough one tomorrow, huh? :rolleyes1

Hmmm...don't think I've ever been to Tom Sawyer Island. It seems like I rode that raft-looking boat over there, but I must have come right back! As a matter of fact, I'm not even entirely sure where that raft thing took me. :confused3

You're becoming quite the photographer, Michelle! All of your MK pictures are just beautiful!

I was about to say the same thing :rotfl2:

Kona dinner is SO yummy!! Their bread and butter is outstanding :thumbsup2 If you are a bit on the daring side, try the tuna oscar...Soooooooooo good!!!

We didn't make it over to Tom Sawyer Island in 2008, I'm sure the boys would have loved it, next trip maybe

Relaxing? Carissa, all this running you've been doing has made you a little fuzzy on the details! :rotfl:

Thanks, Julia. :)

When I snapped that picture, my sister asked me if that was going on the trip report, and I said, "Absolutely!" :lmao:

Glad I could help you in avoiding cruel and unnecessary pain! :rotfl2:

Hmmmmm, perhaps like calling Stacy and Clinton? :thumbsup2

Thanks, Courtney! :)

On the Tom Sawyer's Island raft situation................Perhaps it was so awful, you've blocked the entire matter from your mind!

I'm looking forward to that dinner at Kona, probably more so than any other meal we have planned, Katie! :) I'm not a fan of tuna, but DH might enjoy that, though I'm guessing he'll have that steak.
