I feel terrible asking this question........

Besides the attention from park goers and the occasional "congratulations".......is there any other bonus to drawing attention to the fact that you are on your honeymoon or recently married? (ex: mickey wedding ears, shirts, etc.) I am all about this wonderful tradition but my DF is not so crazy about the ears and the attention we may receive.

We didn't wear them for the attention, we wore them b/c they were too cute and we loved them! we also wore them b/c we had finally goteen married!! and since the wedding day was over and i could't wear my gown anymore it took it's place

however, we got loads of free drinks, free water mice rides, our own boat on POTC, Rio Del Tiempo, IASW and the Norway ride Maelstrom! haha... it was awesome! we got free desserts, appetizers and all around warm wishes. it was too great, but even if we didn't get any of that, we wanted to wear them for ourselves!!

That's how I feel too!!! I want to wear them just because ever since I was a little girl going, I have seen couples wearing them and thought about how i couldn't wait to do so myself!! Plus, they are so cute!! And it would be a great keepsake! But my DF is shy and he doesn't like the attention, he said he would do it for me, but i don't think he is thrilled.

I wore my minnie bride ears, and only got congratulated the once. Hubby would not wear anything, but I dont mind. You can also pick up the Minnie & mickey wedding pin from guest services to wear.
Thing is if you expect it to happen it probably wont, but you never know unless you try. If it could get you bumped to the front of the queue or a free dessert then go for it, what have you to lose?

Just so you know DH was not too thrilled on wearing them either (mainly cause he has a big head and it wasn't comfortable in the september heat) but after the wedding day, he was hooked and never took it off

Thats the excuse I am getting as well. ("Well you know, Emily, I have big head and the ears may not fit") But, I told him that in the vast land of the "world" we could find something to fit him!! lol.

You could always get him one of the Groom hats from places like David's Bridal if he doesn't want to wear the ears! At least he would still be wearing something that identifies him as the groom!

That is a good idea, but I think he can tough it out and wear the ears! lol. I will keep that in mind though. Where in Indiana are you from? I am in Fishers (outside Indianapolis), but I grew up in Ohio. Just moved to Indy in May to be with the DF!

While we've gotten a bunch of little things...drinks, fast passes, etc....the best part was all the congrats....everyone seems so happy for us...and loved hearing about the wedding...I got to relive the wedding over and over in line....

And yes DH didn’t like the Hat (my head is to big)....so we got him standard black ears and had them embroider groom on the back....Now those i cant get off his head even when we are at home...lol...

A friend of mine modified one of those "Groom" baseball hats with mouse ears. It was really cute, I wish I had a picture. She said several people stopped them to ask where they got it.

Since my FH also has a huge head, I am also thinking up other ideas in case the hats don't end up fitting him. I know that I will probably make special T-shirts for us... like white t-shirts with "Just Married" on the front, or something like that. I'm not too big on hats, so I won't be too upset if they don't end up fitting.

My fiance and I are both a little shy about wearing the bride and groom ears. That's why we're gonna make t-shirts too! I'm going to the Disney Zazzle site and get a mickey and minnie shirt and personalize it with "bride" and "groom".

if you go to www.orientaltrading.com they have a bride and groom baseball hat. i may get it for DF and attach the ears from the tophat. I think he would like this better, and the baseball caps are a reasonable price

I don't know about you but I am going during the Year of a Million Dreams and I would do anything to spend one of the nights in the Castle!!!!!

My DF isn't too keen on wearing the hat either but he came up with a neat t-shirt idea. He said we could make t-shirts with writing on them like a jersey. They would match so that when you see us coming mine says "Just" on the front and his says "Married". On the back of the shirts his will say "Just" and mine will say "Married" and then we'll have a big "08" on the back. I know that sounds crazy, but people should get the idea because for some reason I always end up walking on his right side. It's funny the things men will and won't agree to.

We had lots of fun wearing the ears. I didn't think DH would wear them more than once but he did. We even had someone come up to us to say they saw our wedding at SBP and how beautiful we looked.

I can't wait to get my ears!! I have it arranged with Disney Floral to get them delivered in a gift basket to the hotel room!! I went through www.customglamgirl.com and got a "bride" tanktop, a "just married" rhinestone tank top, and a gold foil bride hoodie. they're ADORABLE!! I will recommend Custom Glam Girl to anyone!!

I'm usually not the attention-getter type, but I am going to bask in all my bridal glory!!!
