Don't ask for the salt?

Ok this has been playing on mind since before our holiday last year and in the Brits Guide, Simon says not to ask for the salt at Ohanas or you could spark an amazing reaction!!! Has anyone ever asked for the salt and if so what on earth happens? Im dying to know!!!

Are you sure he said O'Hanas? Only I thought it was Whispering canyon? Its supposed to be a lot like 50s Prime Time. I read on the restaurant thread if you ask for ketchup the waiters round up every bottle of ketchup in the place and put them all on your table...

I double checked there and he definitely says Ohanas! Im dying to know but too scared to ask once I get there cos I have a feeling its going to be something humiliating!

I found this on a web review of O'hana's:::::::: Insider's tip: be sure not to ask for any salt or pepper, unless you enjoy parading around the restaurant with a pineapple on your head!::::::::::: does that answer ur question..lol

ooh that makes the ketchup at WC look tame-I avoid places that do things like this to you. its bad enough sitting on your own to eat without having MORE attention drawn to you Must be our English reserve!

my son asked for ketchup at WCC once..
we had 27 ketchups on our table (until the next person asked!)

he was about 4 and couldnt understand what on earth was going on!
Still it was pretty funny!

Thanks for the warning about this, I would definately NOT want to have a pineapple on my head in public. Then again, maybe I won't tell DH my inside knowledge so much fun to be had with the DIS,
