Kind of. He can't really keep track of all my planning (go figure!) so he knows we're going at some point in time, but that's about it, lol!

I do the same thing...constantly second-guessing and looking for the best deal. My DH, however, always reigns me in and stops me from making that phone call! (unless of course I can really save us money!)

Nowadays, I’m a Disney planning fool.

Heh, heh, heh... aren't we all?

I thought I resolved all that by buying into the Disney Vacation Club. With far fewer resorts from which to choose, and limited availability at at least half of those, I thought DVC would easily curb my dangerous case of Resortus Changeus Itus.

This June trip began as an August trip. Because that’s when some very dear friends are going and we really enjoy our Disney time with them. We’ve done this the past two summers, staying at Saratoga Springs (SSR) both times. So when my 11-month booking window opened up, I put us down for a studio at SSR in Aug.

Ahhh... the trip that was.

Because, while I take great pride in being able to take three bullet points about a company and turn them into an inviting business story, I’m no good at all with exciting-yet-pithy titles. At least once a month I’ll have a story complete and ready to roll… but wind up down to the wire, staring my deadline in the face as sweat drips from my brow and I hyperventilate over a flipping title. I don't know why I find that funny but I can see one of V's headlines making its way onto Jay Leno or David Letterman one day. LY V!

So I called back. The next day. Apologizing for making yet another change. The nice lady on the other end of the line laughed and said, “no apologies necessary”…. then became very quiet as she pulled up my file.

Just picturing this makes me laugh out loud.

I don’t intend to make any more changes to my DVC stay in June.

Oh... Hmmm.....

Belive it or not, I've never waited more than about 8 minutes on hold with MS! Usually, it's more like 3-4 minutes.

(If you’re keeping count, you’ll see that I’d now been booked and re-booked at five DVC resorts. FYI – there were a total of six DVC resorts at the time this was occurring. I’d managed to book at 83.33% of them.)

Recent events appear to indicate that I have, in fact, been BLACKLISTED by DVC!!!




Several days ago, I began having problems logging in to the DVC member website.

Simply put, it wouldn’t let me in.

Since then, I’ve tried multiple times a day, clearing cookies, requesting password and username confirmations, all to no avail.

No member site for V.



So I called DVC this morning, explained the problem and pointed out that all of this began after I entered a WDW sweepstakes form the Disney Family site, where it asked for a new username. The lovely lady at the other end of the line pulled up my account headache: ) and walked me through re-registering in the system…


Nope.

Rejected!


I posted a thread on the DVC boards about this, and it seems quite a few others have had a similar problem. But their issues appear to have been fixed by a call to DVC Member Services.





Hmmmmmm…..


Think it’s more than coincidence that I’ve recently been heard contemplating a change in resort and am now locked out of DVC?!
