Does anyone know of any organizations that will be accepting clothes, toys, and personal items such as diapers and wipes for the victims? My DD5 was home from school today because it was on a delay for fog. We sat and watched the news together. She was asking alot of questions about what was going on. We did our best to tell her in terms she would understand. She went up to her room for awhile. When she came down she had a box of toys and clothes she wanted to give to other little girls who have lost everything. I called our local Red Cross but they are only taking donations of money. They said it costs too much to take clothes and other personal items down. Any thoughts on other organizations would be great.

Donate them to your local Habitat for Humanity Thrift store. They tithe 10% back to Habitat International who will be working towards helping those left homeless in the area. With no place to store things and high costs of getting things to the affected areas to begin with, they simply can't take donations of items at this time.
