BamaEd1 - Great job on your run and joining the running club!
Hopefully one day I'll be that quick! I'm more of a wogger;)

Welcome Lisa!! Though I am currently in Baghdad with the Army, Huntsville is home so we are neighbors until you leave for the NE this summer. Good job on the weight loss! You will find these people to be very supportive and really fun. Again, welcome!

:cheer2: Lisa, Welcome to our wonderful team!:cheer2:

:yay: Great job on your weight loss. :yay:

Sharon

Welcome to the group Lisa and congrats on the weight loss. That is just awesome. I am sure you will enjoy the company here.

Lisa Phenominal job on loosing more than 100 pounds. That is incredible. May I also say welcome to the group. The name that we have may imply defiance but we are all a petty good bunch. Glad to have you aboard.

Update Today was a little bit of an emotional day for me. As much as I hate to admit it, today is my birthday. I am the kind of guy that don't mind celebrating everyone else's birthday but mine doesn't mean anything to me. I guess I just don't like people making a "fuss". Another reason was because when I got done at the gym, I already have reached the 100 mile milestone for this week. With todays totals, I am at 107 and still climbing. I am going to do all elliptical for the next couple of days but I am hoping to reach 125 miles by Friday when I report.

Hope everyone else is having a great week!!

Bryan

:cake: Bryan, First....happy birthday
Second...125 miles by Friday....Wow!

Happy Birthday, Bryan!!!

and...don't get injured ramping up the mileage too much at once...we have all year! (and I have my big miles to come!):goodvibes

:) Beautiful day here! Sunshine and 65, gotta love it.
Cap'n my totals for the week:
30.3 miles (combination walking and stationary bike)
7.28 hours total walking, bike and classes

:cheer2: Our team rocks! :cheer2:

Everyone have a great weekend and keep up the great workouts!

My miles/minutes for the week: 23 miles, 192.9 minutes

Hope to get more in next week - had a lot of work requirements this week that limited my time availability.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Z

great job, SamSam and Z!!! :goodvibes

I'll post mine later when I have my training log with me.

Hi, Dashers!! :)

I had a major LTO week this week (again :sad2: ), thanks to being at WDW for 4 days, and then having to do all my tax paperwork this week. Man, that took longer than I had anticipated! But it's in the mail, so yay!

My hip flexor is somehow messed up from that 1/2 marathon 2 weeks ago. I can't run! ugh! I tried today, and could only run about 40 steps at a time. So I did some walking, and then went to the gym and did the elliptical a little bit, which at least didn't hurt. I'll have to water run next week and see if I can't get through this, since my first tri of the season is 2 weeks from tomorrow!

Soooo.....my totals for this week are:

Swim: 0.7 miles/ :30
Bike: 39.7/2:15
Run/walk/elliptical: 2.1/ :30

Totals for week of March 7-14: 42.5 miles/ 3:15 hours.

I was going to be all down on myself for not doing so well, but I'm turning that around to a more positive outlook: I did the best I could, with the circumstances I had this week. So....onward!! :goodvibes

Have a great weekend, everyone! I do have a nice long bike ride (well, couple of hours or so) tomorrow, then some travel next week but I will have pool access and maybe my leg will get better!

150 minutes
10 miles

I managed to get on the dreadmill 5 times this week for 30 minutes each. Can't wait till the weather breaks and I can get outside :wizard:

Minnie...good job! Very consistent--that's the ticket!:thumbsup2

And I hear ya on the weather. Actually, it was very nice and hot here today, but I am going to Alaska next week, so back to winter for me! And I doubt I'll do any outside running up there, but that will depend on if my leg is better anyway.

Tough week for me.

Core: 45 minutes
Walking: 3.14 mile -- 60 minutes
Stationary bike: 6.85 miles --30 minutes

Hope to start/make time to begin increasing both hours and miles soon.

Stay Strong DDDs.

Hey Triple-D's.

A fine job by everyone again this week.

Betsy, take care of that hip flexor. Enjoy Alaska.

Bryan - Happy belated birthday.

My totals for the week:

Sat - 16 miles/178 min
Mon - 7 miles/62 min
Tue - 10.05 miles/79 min
Wed - 6.11 miles/50 min

Totals: 39.16 miles/369 min

Have a great weekend!

I have to start off by saying that to me part of this competition has turned comical. Everyone has always looked toward Friday's because it either meant that you were off from work or out of school. I am looking towards Friday's now so we can post our totals, see how we are doing and experience a level of support and encouragement that is second to none. I have said a 1000 times "That there is no better people than Disney people!" We are the greatest and happiest people on Earth. I love it! I know I sound like a broken record but I am really happy to be on this team. I have visited some of the other teams threads and it doesn't seem like they are "as" supportive as this team is. It goes a long way.

Now, with all of that said, here are my totals for the week. I know I said I was going to go for 125 miles but I didn't really do that. Please don't be disappointed.

Elliptical - 15 miles
Stationary Bike - 135 miles:scared1:
No Treadmill
Total mileage - 150 miles
Total time in gym training - 15 hours
Total time training a new person at the gym - 1 hour

I don't know how all of that will add up but I sure hope it helps. Betsy, please take it easy and let that leg heal. I know you have your first triathalon coming up but I would hate it if you get hurt worse than you already are.

Team I know it has been a challenging week for a lot of people and in today's economy, that is very understandable. We all have our struggles. I also know that this is a long competition and there will be weeks when I am struggling and some of you will be putting up some really big numbers. That's what is great about being on this team.:grouphug: :cheer2: Every week, someone will be there to help one of us when we need it.

Big Vic Thank you for the birthday wish. What makes it really sad is now I can honestly say that my age is actually higher than my IQ.:sad1: :rotfl:

Dang, Bryan!! That's a lot of miles! Seriously, make sure YOU don't get hurt by ramping up mileage too fast.

Optimator, great job!

Hi, Bill!
you, too, Big Vic!

Betsy, Pixie Dust for your hip flexor. pixiedust: pixiedust:
